Chapter 15

The dinner was a nice affair enjoyed by the Bijolia family along with JB and SB where the former told tales of her and HB's childhood antics entertaining everyone. As the kids retired for the night the three ladies sat near the fire conversing about everything that has happened and could happen in the future

SB: Once this puja is done we should get Pratap and Ajabde married Jija before Jagmal takes a step to far which will force our son's hand

HB and JB nod their heads in acceptance when JB speaks up

JB: Dheer Bai spoke to Ajabde today and her words make me worry behena

We need to remember that we are women Ajabde and sometimes our sex becomes our weakness which can be exploited as the society won't blame the man rather they would go after the woman

SB: This means that her plan includes in humiliating Ajabde in front of everyone but how will she do that?

HB: By trapping her with her son?

JB: that could be one of her ways but we should not forget that even Surtan Singh is helping her and he is the biggest leech we know of

HB: she is herself a woman Jaiwanta Baiji how can she stoop so low? Does he not think of her daughters who are mere babes?

JB: Last I heard Ranaji had sent the girls away for the safe-keeping from their mother

SB: Jija what if her plan includes getting Ajabde trapped into a forcible marriage with Jagmal then what will happen?

JB: Then Pratap would send Jagmal in the deepest pits of hell while Dheerbai's kingdom will be overflowing with river of blood spilled from her supporters as Ranaji will look on as a spectator

HB: I have already written to Raoji about it and in his last letter he said that a baraat was on its way to Bundi and on the day of the Puja there will be grand scale wedding that everyone will remember

SB and JB smile learning the message while at a distance the shrewd third queen looks on with a frown marring her face when a man enters her tent quietly

DB: You really have no shame do you?

Man comes from behind holds her waist tightly and inhales her scent: If I had shame then I wouldn't be here now would I my Sugandh waali Rani. Surtan Singh came into focus as DheerBai gave him her sultry smile and accepted his embrace

He holds her tight and carries her to the bed and silences her with a kiss. Both spend the night carrying their conversation in a different style. The early morning saw SS emerge from DB's tent and moved towards his own palace through the forest route - a route that had been studied and was covered by Shakti and Patta who could not believe their eyes as they saw the man leave a married woman's tent. Shakti knew about an affair of DB but did not know who the man was but on seeing SS he felt bad for his father who was keeping up with the woman knowing about her affair
