They might take many creative liberties or make mincemeat of history at times but there is still a class which is there in MP and not other shows.
I noticed how Raawat ji kept his gaze lowered when he talked to queens. And how JB pulled her ghunghat closer to her face. Yet got his aarti done for bringing good news.😊

Hansabai kept her gaze lowered too when she welcomed US and US also kept his eyes lowered as HB did his aarti. HB looked at only her husband and Pratap (who's a kid to her) in the eyes.

This is the maryada of old days and Rajputs which this show still tries to do justice to, and others don't (ghunghat is just a costume there).😊

I am honestly not in favour of showing romance between child artistes or teens. But I think CVs did a good job by offsetting that romantic scene with dash of comedy with PrAja nokjhok, keeping a certain childlike innocence intact.

It was a much better scene than Phool's hand on Pratap's lips! (Propriety POV)

I hope they keep royal maryada intact and keep giving feel of old world charm, distinguishing it from other costume dramas.😊

I loved a Jalal free episode! This looks like MP episode now and not Pratap Akbar.😆

Yes Hiral, Roshni gave innocent expressions. Not those typical lovey dovey ones as if she's desperate for his touch.
I liked that dialogue exchange when Pratap chided Ajabde for having lost weight may be due to fasting for his well being in yudh, and Ajabde instantly shot back saying it was he who seemed to have grown stronger fighting war for so many days.

Very witty nokjhok I must say.😆 As both points were valid.😊

It's very well performed and well written.👏

yep totally😳 they are two intelligent people...that's what I like a lot in their convos...there is give and take,,.articulated conversation..their nok-jhok is not silly, or ego driven..and both have a strong personality of their own⭐️ and Ajab's real strong self, - pratap brings it out perfectly...otherwise she is mistaken to be meek...

Thanks everyone for responses. 😊
These small but important things like men and women's gaze, body language gives them an edge and lends authenticity. It made men look honourable too.

I agree Hiral, Pratap brings out hidden strength in Ajabde.

He has no airs of a prince. Otherwise he'd have been smarting at HB for not letting him meet Ajabde earlier. Most shows make only girls follow sanskar. Here male also has impeccable sanskaar and maryada. It makes a heartening watch.

Yeah pardah has its own charm. But no show or movie ever followed it.

Still these small gestures are a good nod to that era.
