The beautiful thing about this show is that everything makes sense. @Pari, I agree. Now sitting @ our homes in front of laptops and computers it is easy to say that US sucks. But the decision he took would have their own little story too. Rajputs are all about their dharm and vachan... Isn't that d reason v luv this show too? Being Royal blood, their lives are never simple, normal nor easy. Before being a father he is king and needs to do what is at best interest 4 Mewar. He IS a father inside. He loves all his sons. And everybody has a fave. Uday's fave is Pratap and that is because he is the eldest. Happens all the time 😛 I mean, seriously, what I'm trying to say is that you can't blame him 4 his actions. He is a father AND a king and I think he's doing both roles pretty messed up, but at least he's managing. Well, this is my opinion and I'm glad I shared it. No offense whatsoever 😊

Being a King, Udai Singh is an even bigger fluke if the show is anything to go by!

Shams Khan and Bashar Khan managed to roam freely in Mewar and carry out their attacks but he could not do anything. He dropped suspicion at Bashar Khan at once.

In his joy at Jagmal's birth he took this foolish decision of forgiving even the dangerous criminals and let off Shams Khan even though he was standing in front of his eyes!

A king ought to be clever and ought to have eyes of a hawk! How come he failed to recognise Shams Khan?!

A king ought to take his decisions by himself. How did he allow Dheerbai to meddle in his decisions and got easily coaxed to conduct a contest to decide his heir?

There was a clear conspiracy going inside the palace to kill Pratap. But this man remained clueless and could not investigate anything.

He carried family feuds to open grounds and his court. Which king deliberately calls his son to the darbar only to taunt him at his defeat in a contest?! Couldn't that convo happen elsewhere?

His own servants are not in his control. Some of them disrespect him. Many of them bark about his sons and snigger at them openly. Is this the respect he has been able to command as a king in his own palace?!

Bhanu Singh's widow shouted a few lines on justice and he got carried away. Why no serious investigation was launched to examine this crime?!

That kid Pratap was better in finding out the truth!

As a father we can see what he is. As a king he is no great shakes either.

true but as I said b4 ppl make mistakes. He is making a HUGE one. He sucks as a king. Agreed. But I dont c what all this hullaballoo going around is about. Nobody evr said that US is a Maharana. He was just a Rana along with other ranas who might've done greater mistakes. And he plain ol' sucked as a king. Hey! He was a guy with issues. Pratap on the other hand turned out to be a Maharana and this story is about him so they've gotta portray him as the hero (and to me, he definitely is one to me!) As 4 Basar Khan and Shamskhan, that was the storyline. Nayyar had to do his cameo role and Som had to die 2 increase TRP. Let's not 4get tht it's all a TV show--evn if it is an awfully realistic one. And think about it, Shakti Anand's gotta b such an awesome actor is he's easily making us all hate Uday Singh "Mewar Naresh"... Poor Uday Singh. In real life he musn't have done ANY of these kale karms... and now the world hates him :p >_<

I agree with your view on US having the heart of a father inside him. But I disagree that he realises Shakti's pain!

he is a king first then a father, till shakti tells him clearly why he killed that man, what could US do?? any law will tend to punish a person who murdered smeone without reasons, i dont find US or shakti at fault, its the lack of informations, had shakti told US everything nothing would have happened

He was taken aback only when astrologer took Shakti's name and he suspected danger to Shakti's life. But he did not feel for Shakti when astrologer described his actual, detailed prediction on Shakti!

i think he was engrossed in the thoughts and was thinking over the same for whole day, that how can shakti harm his nation.

He did not get enraged. He did not say he'd do anything to find a remedy for this. Instead that prediction kept roving around in his mind all the time.

we come to conclusions only after we think on something more than anything

Regarding his tears, I am NOT sure if he was crying for Shakti or he was crying in pride at Pratap or he was crying because he was touched by brotherly love Pratap had for Shakti.

such confusions can be placed on the side of shakti even, its better to see simpler sides than making situations complicated by thinking other things,
like in yesterdayz epi, why did shakti smiled touching his US feet???
1. it was thirst of love which he was expecting from US, when US kept hand over his head he smile
2. he was smiling on his victory that finally he made US walk to him

its always better to think simpler, and i think same goes with tears of US

Shakti too couldn't tolerate a word against his father this is why he attacked that guard in fierce rage. It shows he does feel for his father.

But the problem is that both of them have not communicated their emotions to each other either directly or indirectly.

yes!!!! well said, both own feelings for each other but the problem lies is lack of communication

Being a father, Uday Singh too needs to identify Shakti's feelings. He has more responsibility to handle things "before it is too late" because he is the adult and Shakti is but a child!

i think US and shakti both need to open out, shakti prefers getting violent, he could have done everything in much better way if he could have tried to control his anger

The way US did not try to investigate the matter fully, or listen to Shakti's side of the story and focused only on his prison break and "disobedience"/"crime" and decided to punish him, and the way the doomsday prediction about Shakti kept ringing in his mind all the time only shows he has low opinion of Shakti and a certain bias and lack of empathy for him as a father.

had pratap committed same mistake he wouldnt have been spared as well.

His heart as a father must function by itself instead of requiring activation by words of his preferred son or preferred wife. And Shakti or Sajjabai nowhere figure in his preference or locus of attention.

Keep aside Shakti for a while. In my own life, I would prefer my parents to deal with me on an individual basis rather than have my sibling advocate for me or convince them to talk to me. Good or bad, parents should convey things to each kid individually.

but for that we need to talk to them face to face na??? why dont shakti tries to express himself in a calm way??

Uday Singh knows that Shakti thinks he only bothers about Pratap and none else. But he has never done anything - even indirectly to convey that he has concern as a father for him too.

Instead of Pratap examining all sides of the story in this Prison break and guard's death incident, it should have been Uday Singh who ought to have ordered proper investigation in the matter before jumping to enraged conclusions!

didnt US try asking shakti??? what else can he do??? talk to every guard there??? being a king it doesnt suits even, isnt words of shakti sufficient to believe??? why would he need outsider to exlain him the matter

Whatever little I felt for Uday Singh as a father was washed away by his conduct later in the episode and the precap. Sorry. 😵

But when Raj Jyotish said Shakti cud danger his kingdom ...

The father in him was shocked and worried whereas The king in him was angry .

It wud have been so difficult for US to balance between both d roles as Father and King.

true khyati 👏

the show is written in such a beautiful way that every character's acts are justified. shakti and uday singh both seems right at their place, i am just worried how will US respond when he comes to know about truth why shakti did that?? cant wait for todayz episode
