Meera bai was wife of raja bhoj

Raja bhoj was son of rana sanga

Rana udai Singh was also son of Rana sanga

Raja bhoj died and vikramaditya his brother became king . after viktpramaditya udai Singh became king

Bhoj vikramaditya and udai Singh were brothers

Hence meera was Rana pratap"s aunt

Sanga and bhoj respected meera but vikramaditya always tried to harm her

Udai Singh became king after meera had left chittorgarh

I have read all this a long time ago. But I vaguely remember that after Udai Singh became King, he tried to get Meera to come back and to make up for what Vikramaditya had done to her. But it was too late because according to legend, Meera went to Krishna's temple and became one with the idol. Also, there is a famous story of Panna Dai who sacrificed her own son to save Udai Singh.

The legend of Meera Bai and Poison is that Raja Virkramaditya was jealous of praises Meera received of her spirituality and he also was a cruel King. He tried to kill Meerabai many times in one such incident he mixed a powerful poison in Charna-amrit (which is used as a prasad-offering for Hindu deities) but then Lord Krishna came to Meerabai and warned her that there was poison in the charna Amrit. Then He told her to drink it anyway. The Lord said that He would protect her. So, after she had finished her worship, she drank the contents of the cup. But Krishna had turned the poison into Amrit-nectar. Needless to say, nothing happened to her.
