Thoughts: Sponsor for BBAT

Hey guys!

So, I've been thinking and this is mostly a ramble... but I thought I'd share it anyway 😊

I've been seeing that some other shows are sponsored by certain brands... BBAT doesn't have one, because it's got low TRPs 😭 I remember one day there were little ads in the corner for some india.com, but nothing else. Wouldn't it help if BBAT got a sponsor somehow? I wonder how that works... it would help the production house make more money too, right?

And as I typed this I came up with another idea - can't the production house do some sort of competition/giveaway/thingy or something, to increase interest in the show? I've been thinking a lot lately about this, as you all can see hahahahaha!

Let's hear your thoughts/ideas/etc. 😃

In furture it will give a good trp rating,just wait and see.it is really very good show,guddu & runjhun r best,i love them so...much

You r right sis, shows which r getting high TRPs' are sponsored by advertisers. But bbat doesnt' hav any sponsors due to its low ratings thats why Z is not promoting our show😭. Only one thing is exposed by their(Zs') activities they are waiting for Nivis' resume shoot, like us. If this track changes there is a chance of getting high ratings. Hoping for the best.

sponsorship would be very difficult to get not only because of the low TRPs but because of the time that the show is aired. Face it - 10:30 may be the end of prime time in India but it's still not an optimum time for advertisers. Even if the show as to get US sponsorship...the network/PH would have to negotiate a lot as PT/ET are vastly different...one is prime time and the other is definitely not.

The second idea has merit since will maintain current viewers interest in the show and possibly (hopefully) attract new viewers to the show. But for this to happen...the prize has to be worth the build up...and this build up can stat from as early as news/during prime time shows...no big adverts would be necessary here...just show a ticker tape at the bottom announcing the promo/competition/giveaway.

For BBAT fans autographed posters of Himmanshoo/Nivedita, personalized cups etc...some of Guddu's shirts and/or selected saris of Runjhun's can be prizes...or if we are selling the astrology thing...possibly a sponsored astrological/palmistry/numerology reading.

Of course for all this to even be a possibility the PH must be consulted and their consent given

Thanks for the ideas and your post, nishersal! I've been chatting about this on Facebook too, and most of us have decided that if we can try to push for something, it has to be this contest/giveaway thing... it really will be good in so many ways!

indi - yes they are, sadly! And even then, they're HORRIBLE measures of viewership. There was a thread here, earlier, about how TRPs work. I wish I could explain myself, but I can't, sorry!

Thanks Rashaa – sad that the TRPs are based only on the Indian viewers.

Bhagonwali scored so very high (1^st) in the Backstage India Poll for December and the main characters also scored very high, yet the show is constantly scoring low in the TRP rating. What about the Chaska Meter ranking? I hit the "5" button so many times a day, and I'm sure other BBatians do so too, yet the ranking is so low!

Zee seems to be "pushing" a lot of new and mundane shows and ignoring Bhagonwali –look at the time spots - India – 10:30 p.m., USA and the Caribbean, 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight, respectively! Couldn't Zee place this show in better time slots and do a bit of promotion of their own? We need sponsors for promotion in order to gain TRPs, and we need TRPs in order to gain sponsors for promotion – talk about whether the chicken or the egg comes first?

Trust that with a change in track, the TRPs will grow.
