Tarun Khanna's shooting troubles
Tarun Khanna, who plays Samar Kapoor in Bhabhi, was not keeping well for the past one month. But he still continued to shoot round the clock for Bhabhi and Shhh…Phir Koi Hai and this has resulted in him losing 8 kilos during this period.
Says Tarun, "When I entered Bhabhi, I had to shoot for 15 hours everyday as they were not having any bank of episodes. Unaware of this burden, I also signed the episodic Shhh…Phir Koi Hai for which I shot for 16 hours a day as I was the main ghost. I could not get proper sleep for four days continuously and my body started to suffer."

Citing an instance of the troubles he had to encounter, he tells us, "One day we were shooting a special episode for Bhabhi. I was running high temperature and started shivering. So the unit decided to switch off the AC on the sets. Even after that my body was suffering so they gave me three blankets and also asked me to stand in front of high voltage lights. After 15 minutes, my body temperature was closer to normal."
Tarun wanted to admit himself at a hospital in Lokhandwala, Mumbai but the serial crew wouldn't allow him. "This is the tragedy of our industry - nobody understands illness," laments the actor, adding, "I then decided that I will go everyday to a nursing home but the medicines which I used to take were so strong that I started getting a throat infection. So I could not have anything orally. My body also became weak following which my doctors injected me with antibiotics."
Tarun recovered but it was only temporary relief. "For ten more days I had to shoot continuously for my shows and then I caught fever again and it was back to taking medicines."
Did he inform his parents or relatives? "I stay alone in Mumbai and did not want to disturb anyone. All my all tests were normal; my production house too was co-operative. I am fine now," says a rather relieved Tarun.
