Does Maya really love Arjun?

Maya has become obsessed with Arjun due to her mental and emotional issues. But is the relationship that they have really that of love?
Funnily enough, I was reading an article about whether one can get addicted to one's partner on Facebook earlier today and it made me think of this show.

If you loved someone, would you really consider getting him jailed for domestic violence that he is not guilty of? Let alone getting him jailed actually. Would you even make that man look life a wife beater in front of the whole world and humiliate him?

Moreover, would you hurt him by putting his family member through the nightmare of being wrong accused of and jailed for a heinous crime that he did not commit? Or would you severely hurt and injure his mother? What kind of woman isolates her husband to the point despair?"

I have seen many people here and on social media claim that Maya's love and longing is making her do all this, but this just increasingly seems like a power struggle and obsession to control your spouse, rather than love. It's almost like a game for Maya.

Yes, I'm sure I'll hear about how Maya is different and she loves differently and what not, but sorry, I just don't see love in this marriage anymore (unlike season 1).

On topic--Maya love? It's an insult to love word. She wants to own him and control him... doesn't matter if Arjun is happy or not ...

Arjun has become maya's extreme obssession and the thing is arjun is really a duffer.He should convince her to take to a psychiatrist.Then maya's whatever mental illness is it will be cured.But arjun should be extremely careful with maya and get rid of her insecurity ie SAANJH.Then only they can lead a happily married life.

she only need arjun submission. her love is game of domination/ taking control. i am fan of maya but i am really astonished by few people on forums who still claims maya-arjun true love and all. this show was never about LOVE but OBSESSION. i read a comment where they think only they can understand and saw maya's love as they are Hollywood watchers REALLY... do you guys actually saw Hollywood thriller? beyhadh is not a walk to remember, the notebook, P.S i love you, ever been kissed or clueless...other than romance there are other genres e.g. dark romance, thriller. sleeping with the enemy, heather, Sweeny Todd, edward scissorhands in these movies there is love at one point too but we can't expect love story with happy happy ending from them. do you guys really want another typically hindi daily soap???? was you guys looking for another cliche?

for me there is NO love between maya/arjun at this point.

If you search articles about sociopath's behavior most of them claim that sociopaths can't love anyone except themselves!

It was also reported that a lot of research was carried out before the script was prepared!

So, where does it leave us?

Maya is a sociopath, so she can not love anyone! or Maya can love someone so she can not be a sociopath! What is correct?

Or, Beyhadh CVs do not believe in the popularly held opinion about sociopaths! That is also quite possible!
