It usually goes one way or the other. Either you do everything in your might to not be like the person you hated and avoid doing the bad stuff they used to do or you become them. But then again you can point at couple of things that made her this way. Her father was just greedy. But he was easy to please, easy to control. Give him money and he'll go away. Maya isn't like that. She is hard to please. It seems like she wants everything and wants to control it too. She wants people to play by her rules or she will punish them.

In this case can we also use your reasoning for Ayan's action ? Do you think extreme actions are required to teach someone a lesson? this is barbaric and only a psychotic personality will behave in such manner. as you can see she was having perverse pleasure in seeing someone suffer. that is not normal

This basically reminds me of an episode of criminal minds, where a victim of child grooming went on to become a pedophile himself. Rightly said...the abused became the abuser!!!!

I had said the same thing few days back. There's no difference between Maya and Ashwin. Given a chance, she would overtake Ashwin in abusing department. Fake rape case, drugging, physically harm someone etc are normal for her. And she has a same old defence in her favor- she was abused when she was a child. How low is she allowed to stoop using her child abuse case?

It is a pale comparison!
Maya is intelligent & resourceful!
She is much more determined than Ashwin!
So, Ashwin wouldn't be a worthy comparison, at all!
Maya will live upto hollywood range psychos, perhaps!
Her actions will possibly define what Beyhadh really means!

I don't mind Maya being redeemed at the end. But it should not be without her share of punishment which she deserves. Also, by punishment, I mean legal action and not something lame like Arjun leaves her and that becomes her punishment

Agreed on the stressing of the word officially. There were always signs and indications that Maya is an abuser. But yesterday's episode just made it official.
