It must be the first law case in history where the accused had not been examined at all. We all have heard Maya's side of story, but what about Ayan's side??

In every case, as far as I know, the evidence of the accused is also brought forward in court and examined properly. Why not Sanjh bring Ayan in katehra and ask him:

1. What exactly he was doing?
2. How come Maya's clothes get ripped if he did not do it?
3. Why he took so much in getting up if he really fell down on Maya?

The amount of time Sanjh wasted on examining Arjun and Maya's personal life, she could have used the same time in examining the actual events of the fateful night.

Defense does not question the client in the court! Because accused gets represented in the court through the defense lawyer! And saanjh can only plead on behalf of Ayaan!
It is for the prosecution to question & establish if accused and NOT convict (only if a pronouncement is made in some lower court, you can say him as convict, till then he is just accused!) is pleading guilt or not!

yeah instead of wasting time in shouting she should have called up all people she claimed thinking he was good, she had to hear the so called story she come up with from ayan's mouth, at least that would be more convincing then her telling it when she wasn't in the scene at all.
she was so busy taking revenge from maya that she forgot what the case actually was, a divorce case or a rape case or a attempt to rape case

maya's side was heard only later on because she wanted to humiliate her in front all the people that's why she said to her she will bring her naked truth out so maya did what she did to tell her side.

Guys what about "Tarikh pe tarikh, tarikh pe tarikh"
this case is solved within 3 days

I have been in some cases even here in my country that run for at least 2-3 years because of "new dates, tarikh pe tarikh"

but in beyhadh this case was closed within 2 days.

CV at least should have made this case more fun instead of making it sanj shouts and then maya showing her injuries herself.

instead should have kept "good lawyers" fight,

maya's lawyer was a waste until maya had to give him space to speak else he was not needed, maya could fight her case on her own.

as usual the makers are in a hurry to move on forgetting that there are lots of forensic evidence. if there were bite marks and many other injuries to her body they could have provided plenty of forensic evidence like. for example, the bite marks could have been matched etc.,, a shoddy treatment and a poor depiction of the legal system has turned this serial into a joke

As a defence lawyer Sanj tried to prove what a dubious character Maya was. So she was on the right track. but what was amazing was the lack of medical reports and forensic evidence. None were provided. It all boiled down to dramatics and Maya disrobing herself in front of a wide audience.😆

If Maya can strip in front of a whole wide audience just to prove herself right, you can imagine the lengths she could go to prove anyone wrong. Such is her character.

The story may be a loose adaptation of Gone Girl, but in Indian serials seldom is the villain celebrated or made victorious. So my guess is Maya will either kill herself or be found guilty of many untold crimes will spend the rest of her life in prison. I wouldn't be even surprised if they bring in Part II

I messed up the terminology. Accused was what I had in mind. Corrected.

Ofcourse he was not pleading guilty. It was up to the defense lawyer to tell the court what his client was doing, if he was not trying to rape. Almost in all cases I have read or saw, they always listen to the accused to get to know his take on the situation, but Sanjh's whole defense was built on one line 'ye aurat jhooti hai'. Even a completely neutral person would think that if he was not raping Maya then what was he doing?

Many of the defense lawyers prepare their clients to appear in the court and what will they say when they will be cross questioned by prosecutor or by defense lawyer himself so that everybody can hear his side of the story.
