- I refuse to believe she's wrong. She was just in love. And love makes a fool of all of us. She can't be entirely blamed. She just slipped away a little. I'm sure she tried her best. She tried her best to not come inbetween her duffer and Maya. She did say when Arjun was first asked out by Maya " should have let her die" but that was due to frustration of her telling him again and again that Maya loves him but him not believing it. Why's everyone so harsh on her?
- She did a lot of things, yea, agreed, but it was unintentional. Give the girl a break. Don't forget she tried to convince Vandana. Don't forget she bought honeymoon tickets for arya. Don't forget she possiblized marriage. It was really brave of her to do so.
- Where she really went wrong was she being cocky. She shouldn't have been a hypocrite.
- "jahan main hun, waha sach hota h"
- "Rape toh hua hi nahi tha"
- "aisi aurat"
- "ghatiya aurat"
- "nanga"
- "rape kyun nahi handle kar payi"
- "bechara Ayaan"
- was wrong on so many levels. She knew she was being cocky and hypocritical.
- Touched a personal chord, tried to defame someone, lost her chill a lot times. She didn't handle the case properly and at the end, it was Ayaan who suffered.
- She could have reduced his sentence, very effortlessly. She spewed her personal bitterness all over the place. She forgot, she's smart, but Maya has been smart longer.
Maya.
- First and foremost, some of you Maya fans, stop justifying her actions. She's done a lot of wrong things, but only because she felt it was right to do so. Accept what has been wrong.
- Now, few things to be noted in order to understand Maya Mehrotra:
- She's had a real tough childhood. When we, as normal people can sustain a day without being told we are loved, think of the constant verbal and physical abuse's impact on the little kid. Some scars can not be healed. But the pain can be reduced.
- Ashwin. The name's enough.
- Jhanvi, oh Jhanvi. One's not vigilant and poof she's gone.
- Arjun was never the one for her. He had been like a suicide bomb to Maya. He was everything which could amplify Maya's suffering, which he has done. He is a very flirty guy. Maya needs someone who only has eyes for her, to compensate for what she had been through. He is not truthful, not even to himself. Talk about being truthful to Maya. All in all they were incompatible.
- Saanjh, unintentionally, reduced the distance between Maya and this pit of insanity. She never intended to do so, mind you.
- Vandana. Probably the one because of whom Maya felt the need of isolating Arjun. She kept preaching "Maya pagal hai" but forgot how powerful love could be. She may have slapped her accidentally, but the impact of it in Maya's fragile mind was huge. The garbage thrown on her was the last straw for Maya. Any normal person too would never have tolerated shit like that.
- Ayaan. It was never shown whether he was aware of the fact Maya was abused in the past but he should have been careful, because no matter how "mad" a woman maybe, he has no right to punish her, in whatever the f**k way.
- I don't believe Maya faked this attempt to rape thing.
- Just because she smiled, it doesn't necessarily mean it was fake. That smile was because of the mahila mandal giving Saanjh tit for tat on Maya's behalf, without even her asking to do so. Anyone would have smiled, if someone else stood up for them. Saanjh has assassinated Maya's character in every way possible, no one can deny that.
- Besides, whenever it is hinted that Maya has done something, it's never shown. For example: Ashwin's death, Pandit's death, Arjun's friend's accident, Jhanvi's accident. But this was shown to us real time. Wasn't it?
- Her wounds had Ayaan's DNA.
- Ayaan knew about the Cameras too.
- Saanjh asking Samay not come is pretty something.
- Ayaan has had a history of being a playboy.
- She'd have made Arjun rescue her, not Samay.
- If I had to diagnose Maya, she's suffering from
- Psychosis (She ain't normal, it is evident)
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (S1's neat freakness, S2's Arjun mania)
- Depressive disorder (hitting herself when she feels she hurt arjun, multiple suicidal attempts)
- Claustrophobia (lift incident in S1)
- Insomnia (S1 implied that but don't know about S2)
- Haphephobia (yep, she does have this)
- Panic disorder (her anxiety )
- Thanatophobia (major cause of her panic)
- psychomotor agitation (head banging)
- Incase the writers decide to make her completely evil, I hope they remove the mental illness tag. It's not funny. It is as severe as, if not more, physical ailments. High time they realise that and stop giving a wrong message.
