i think in life we all probably have or will at some point meet someone who is like Maya. i honestly dislike ppl who scream and emotional black mail people into doing whatever they want them to do. i think that is a sign of weakness and i hate. if i met a Maya type clingy, manipulative, crazy I would probably keep away from her.

but Jenny has to a large extent has brought an understanding to this character that has made Maya endearing. with her performance u can see the beauty and the self destructive of a human soul who craves for something that she has in herself bt who thinks she needs her strength from an outside source.

my heart bleed watching Maya lose it in this episode. coz how far gone would someone have to be to be satisfied with having someone hate her to have a bond. her threatening arjun and intimating him wen she claims to love him is shocking sad coz deep down u know she loves him and if she was in her right frame of mind she would hurt herself then ever hurt him.

what is making her performance even more impactful for me is that I have recently changed jobs bt be4 i left my ex bosses daughter who is around my age started working at the office, she is highly depressed, seems like she might be bipolar and she has been to therapists on and off but she is still highly delusional, crazy and destructive and has made my ex colleagues life hell so much so that they never want to see her again.

Now she was obviously off her meds, she still refuses to take them and her family is trying to send her to a rehab centre bt she does not want to go. she like maya had an abusive father, who left her mom for another woman( the other woman was his wife's secretary). she claims to have been sexually abused as a child and that her fiance and then also someone had raped her. whether this is true or not i am not sure.

what gets to be about her is that for me i think she looks beautiful, she has money, she is so intelligent and she is an artist, she is fun to be around. but is so broken and beaten down by people who should have looked after her that she is totally damaged. i honestly thing she is bipolar and if she is i think i read that, that mental illness is incurable.

Maya for me i think she has inner strength that is more powerful then the fake strength that she has shown so far. once she gets help she will be a winner. i feel she might have some hope

To people who think that Maya aint worth trying to help and is just a normal vamp u totally off the mark. I assure u, u are wrong there are people like her who are locked in their minds and they need help to unlock themselves from their own personal hell.

i am just really disappointed at how ppl here are brushing aside aryaans behavior and think its ok for Maya to be manhandled and possible be raped coz of what she has been doing in a state when she is not mentally right. its like saying that its ok to not hold a person liable who rapes a person who is retarded and mentally handicapped and therefore cannot understand the criminal attack against the.

No, her mental state is not an excuse for her actions, and neither is her acting ability.
If a rapist claims to have a mental disorder (and there is no evidence that Maya has such a disorder), would you sympathize with them?

that's a tough question coz i just edited my comment before i saw your comment and wrote the reverse of what u wrote. i am actually an attorney and my fav area of law is criminal law and in terms of law your rape scenario would land the person in a mental institution not to jail. but morally because i see and meet rapist, murderers all the time and i have to listen to their side of the story I can be in a room with a murderer but a rapist who i think is guilty its very hard. to question a child who alleges being raped its one of the toughest things any1 can ever do. i think to answer your question although i do think its an unfair question but coz of my job there is a possibility i would eventually have a case like this and if the person is really ill then the possibility is i could understand and therefore sympathize with both him/her and the victim.

as for Maya why is it so hard for some here to admit that there is something wrong with her? she is not a normal vamp by far. when its confirmed what mental disorder she has i will support. and as for Jennys acting i never said her good acting makes it excusable for her characters conduct bt rather she made her understandable to me. bt just my pt of view

A veteran with abundant acting talents easily lured us to love Maya in season1
As the flavor & season changed radically now - as Maya is meant to be hated for her actions, her acting will definitely bring about an opposite thought making us revise our opinion on Maya!
The actor is quite capable of swinging the passions of audience in either direction!

As i hv said earlier i like Maya n Jennifer is d added bonus, as she is playing Maya brilliantly. It may be difficult for Arjun or other ppl around her to like her, empathise or sympathise or understand her, but as an audience, i hv seen d side of Maya which d ppl around her haven't. Dy haven't seen her talk to her Ganesha, admit her mistakes or understand wtz on her mind. To an extent Arjun has seen few things, but hez not matured enuf to understand it.
Having said dt, i don't support Maya for her wrongdoings. I just hope d makers show dt such ppl can be redeemed.

Coming to d gal u were talking abt, thr r many such cases. D trauma dese ppl go thru, makes dm unstable. Instead of understanding or supporting dm, ppl call dm mad, half mad, psycho, mental n what not.

Rape is heinous crime and no one can justify raping any woman whatever her character. Even a prostitute cannot be touched without her permission. The future episodes will reveal this rape angle and if it is true the rapist needs to be hanged.

Jennifer's brilliant portrayal of Maya with her different shades is the main reason for Beyhadh's success.

Jennifer is extremely good actress. She is not my fav actress, but I can't imagine my fav actress playing Maya. Jen is playing Maya so well that I can't imagine anyone. I am Maya fan though, so I will give credit to the writers for writing the character so well and of course to Jen as well for playing it so well. Even though people calling her vamp and what not makes me think no wonder PHs don't experiment because of viewers like that who can't accept grey character calling them vamp and can only accept Gopi Bahu type characters. But still majority do love Maya, connect with her and sympathize with her. So it again gives hope that if a character is written well and played equally by a talented actor, even grey female character can be accepted and loved for a female lead. I wanted Maya's character to be accepted so it gives a way for grey female character. And it happened. At least, she's accepted and loved by majority. IMO. That's extremely positive!

jennifer has been phenomenal when portraying the role as Maya.
i loved Maya in beyhadh phase 1 but coming to phase 2 i can't relate to her i guess cv's are trying to show mayas extreme unhealthy love but phase 2 is making me gain sympathy for Arjun

just hoping phase 3 is will worth it. but for now what Maya is doing is crazy, i don't hate maya but she really needs help.

but brave to jenny, she is an amazing actress
