You are right.. I had the same feeling.. Vandana's hatred for Maya doesn't seem to be out of love or concern for Arjun alone.. she spoke as if she has made an investment into a company for 15 years and now someone else is taking it away from her..mera ghar, mera haq.. ?? I gave 15 years of blood and sweat to this house.. was that a home maker talking or investor waiting to reap awards for his lifelong investment?LOL As far as her equation with Maya is concerned, it was always contempt from her side first that was reciprocated by Maya and that too after giving her enough chances...Did she ever consider giving her a chance for the sake of Arjun's happiness? I for one, don't buy the logic that she can foresee future no matter how superstitious she is or pretends to be.. To me it seems like Vandana has found a competitor in Maya who can challenge her and defeat her in her own game..something Saanjh would not do..Like you mentioned, I would really like to know how Arjun lost his parents.. Given the fact that Arjun lost both his parents immediately after Vandana came in their lives, isn't it hypocritical of her to call Maya as ''kala saya''? What did Maya mean when she said '' darte wo hain jinhone kuch galat kiya ho'' Maya is a grey character yes but Vandana is no mother India for sure..

You go so into in VM words about her true natural I wish its come true bcoz in any sense VM didn't seem good mom at all if she really care about Arjun at least she try to accept Maya also with full faith she may try to change Maya to whatever she is to what she want to be her wen Maya so well to change herself but OK... I don't enjoy the Adharsh Bahu Maya at all

finally MAYA melhotra is back and I'm fully Njoying this week episode..

that is the problem with our Indian mentality.. Even though daughters have responsibilities towards her parents but our society think daughters are parayi dhan and her in-laws property... Time to change this type of mentality...

Shruthi, I have always liked you, your posts and the way you put yourself forth. That's something I always respect about you and that goes the same for even this topic. 😃 But I have to admit that your speculations/theories Vandana lately seem too far fetched to me. It's just my opinion, I hope you don't take offence to it. 😳 Because I sincerely feel there's no bad blood in Vandana's past at all, with regards to both Arjun and his father.

Maya manipulates Arjun into leaving Vandana's house, in this way she will have her eyes both on Jhanvi n Arjun. But how wrong is she? Didn't she try the way Vandana likes, the way Adarsh Bahu does? Though it was not completely genuine, but she did love Ayan n Saanjh genuinely.. if Vandu would have accepted her, this wouldn't have happened... Vandu not only failed as a mother to arjun but she also failed as a lady who could show the right way to Maya.. She actually proved "Maya's methods" right.. which are actually not!
Sigh!! Hope Maya gets the right person in her life, who will show her the right path... maybe Saanjh
Maya has fully begun to trust Arjun, but seems like he too will break her trust one day.. that camera comment hints future track I think..

Maya had gone to the puja room and asked Ganesha to help her start a new life on a good note. She did put genuine efforts to win VM's, heart. She had accepted Arjun's friends and relatives as hers. She had befriended Saanjh and accepted Ayaan wholeheartedly. I agree with you that if VM had accepted Maya, the matter would not have gone to that extent.

Maya has been respectful to her but this lady does not deserve any respect. Jhanvi could not guide Maya as she was more focussed on Ashwin, no matter how he treated her.

People are here to find faults with Maya and condemn her but cannot guide her to the right path. I don't think it is impossible to earn Maya's trust. Once a person gains Maya's trust and keeps up to it then she will definitely realize what she is doing is wrong.

The thoughts i m having is ... Does Maya actually change or was she hiding behind the image she formed ... If we all notice that this new maya emerged soon after she prayed in front of the God's idol that I gave u time but u didn't punish him now i will punish him ... And soon she vanished in the air the day ashvins murder mystery was closed ... So was this all an act a pre planned performance ...

Coz as we know the Maya mehrotra she gets what she wanted and she never shares what is hers ... That can be very well seen and understood by jhanvi's condition ... Now every breaths jhnavi take maya has a control on it ...

She completely git arjun and now he belongs to only maya ... And thus the house leaving act follows...

As far as vandana is concerned ... She is repeating the same mistake what sanjh did before ... As sanjh was defeated by maya by the distance created between duaky and duffer ... Now its vandana's turn ... There is no use of shouting anything in front of arjun he is blindly in love ...

The good part was sanjh faced the situation very well or we can say she also got blindfolded with the incident but vandana is not the one to do so ... She'll still play with fire and get hurt till the point beyond repair ...

I personally don't feel that there is any layers to vandana's past ... May be what you are saying could be true but i think the 15 years of hardwork was referring to vandana's hardwork to raise the two children alone by selling the policies door to door to earn money ...

@shruthi: Your post is good. You have written all the points in an apt way. If Vandana has seen this side of Maya, she alone is responsible for it. She is basically prejudiced towards Maya. She has never made any efforts to bring Maya to the right track. That is what Arjun was expecting from Panda. That lady has been a failure as a mother.

I'm sorry to disagree to ur opinion too. U will know in time that vandana is not someone who will differentiate between her own son and Arjun. Its ok to doubt though, but there are high chances of ur doubts being proved as wrong.

About vandana bringing out maya mehrotra, maya mehrotra had not gone anywhere in the first place. Also, let's not forget that vandana was ready to accept maya as her dil respectfully, but then what happened? The pandit predicted bad about Maya, at the mehendi function arjun would have been killed, at the wedding she was kidnapped by ashwin and was about to be told about Mayas truth, and the final nail in the coffin was Ashwin's corpse landing on the wedding mandap and Arjun about to be going to jail. Which mother would be calm and all accepting in this situation?

Vandana's only fault was, that she let herself be shown as wrong by openly showing her dislike for maya. Any mother who is concerned about her child would not go around playing mind games, in fact any mother who is as freaked out as vandana is would neither have the time nor be in mental frame to plan anything to handle situations in a twisted manner. Her reactions were maybe OTT, but her fears cannot be dismissed as irrational.

Even I felt vandana's dialogue to be very weird!
I feel there is something mysterious about vandana's past... the way she said 15 years doesn't seem to make sense.
Vandana couldn't digest Maya's changing behavior
And it was actually genuine cuz when she was talking to Ganesh ji Murthy about Arjun's family being hers and his friends being her friends...
After all the BS vandana said to Maya, she totally deserves it
