It was a profound statement from Maya today. A bit philosophical too. But to me she was only partially right. Because right and wrong is not decided based on from where you are looking. It is dependant on the intend of the action.
Because Maya is only talking about action which you see. Yes action can be justified based on where you stand, but intend, intend is one thing that can never be justified. And intend is something that is hidden. Unless you know the journey of the person you cannot understand intend.
Believe me only a thin line exists between right and wrong, between good and bad and that thin line is decided based on whether you burn and make others burn or whether you burn and become light to others. Or rather whether your intend was selfish or freewill.
Problem with Maya is that she is so blinded by the actions she has seen, wrong actions which has been justified. She says a dialogue to the policeman you should not make wrong use of your power, which she is doing in multiple ways. But she doesnt mind because for her, I have burned so now I am burning you too. That scene where she slow burns the brinjal and today the slow killing of Saanjh. Anyone who go near Maya will burn, because she is scarred and with her method what she has seen is her actions are always justifiable.
Yes she taking bail for Ayaan was right, she giving one slap to that policeman was also right. But what was not right was she telling Ayaan she doesnt want to know whether he did right or wrong. No a good woman has to know the entire story and then take a stand what to do with it. Yes she can try to get punishment lessened if it is a loved one. We all do. But then not wanting to know right and wrong , call me means encouraging not so good practices.
Action is always right or wrong based on the intend not based on from where you look at it.
