OS : Yearning
Arjun sat on the bed quite dreamily, largely lost. The turn of events in the past few weeks were mind boggling. No doubt, he did say a 'Yes' to Maya's proposal but he slightest didn't mean or expect to live the horrendous life he was currently leading.
His phone buzzed beside him. Her name flashed across the screen and his eyes twitched.
He picked it up. "Arjun Aaj Mr. D-Costa ki party hai, tumhe yaad toh hai naa? Aa jaana"
This was exactly that he'd become - a slave. Fame & Paparazzi: all of it felt good when you've your family by your side. Maya had distanced him from everyone - his Mom, Ayaan and from his childhood, inseparable friend, Saanjh.
"Main busy Hoon, nahi aa paunga"
In a single gush of air, he finally said it. A tormenting silence prevailed.
Then -
"Paris mein Ek photoshoot hai aur mujhe Ek photographer bhejna hai. Woh koi bhi Ho sakta hai, tum bhi."
"Hmm".
And he disconnected it. For a few moments, he kept looking at the phone screen. He was used to such talks or rather blackmails.
In utter frustration, he threw the phone which bluntly crashed onto the ground.
He broke down heavily, kneeling on the ground. And this time, no one came to wipe his tears or support him. He had certainly made erratic mistakes till now, but this was too grave an error.
His Dusky wasn't with him, infact he couldn't recall the number of days he hadn't seen her bright and exuberant face.
The past rang into his years :
That day, when he'd returned home from the Hospital, after Maya had forced him to go and rest, he saw that no one was at home. Saanjh and her parents had left. His Mom sat in a corner, shocked. And he'd never seen Ayan so serious until now.
"Kya hua?", He uttered without a thought.
"Arjun, tum... Saanjh...", his Mom babbled.
"Bhaiyya aap Abhi ke Abhi jao aur Saanjh se maafi maango"
"Par Kyun, Maine Kiya kya hai?"
Both of them tried their best to convince him to apologise but he refused to budge. And that, to be precise, was his mistake. After that day, he never met Saanjh conventionally, how they used to meet. The banter was lost and the warmth was gone.
He had chosen a frustrating life for his own damn self. Because being in a relationship with a Maniac like her was suffocating and burdensome. He couldn't flirt like he used to. He couldn't mingle with girls and jingle around. He felt insecure about his job more than ever.
"Tumhe jab samajh aa jaaye ki sahi kya hai aur galat kya hai, tab tum Saanjh se Milne aa sakte Ho", Prem had slammed the door in his face. That day he had felt insulted but now he realised, he did deserve it. His life was a mess, all was the repercussion of his own misdoings.
"Bass ab bass!", He screamed. "Bohot ho gaya."
He made a resolve. He cared a shit for his job, righteousness and above all, for Maya. To hell with her Offers and to hell with her so called love in which he was lured into and trapped.
He wiped his tears, made a coffee for himself and dressed up, all the time whistling his tune. It was time to mend some old mistakes and some new. He didn't know how he'd do it, what he'd say. All he knew was life is nothing without your true love, your best friend and your family. He had to get back these necessities back into life. He longed for Saanjh today and that was his repentance and yearning.

PS : As you all must've guessed,this plot is set at a much later stage. I'm not a fan of Saanjh or against Maya. But somehow, I want this to happen ;)
