Last year, for New Year's Eve, my wife Shweta and I stayed in Canada for 10 days. We have some family there, so we spent the days visiting relatives. It was the first time I experienced Christmas completely. The meal I had for the New Year's dinner at St John was my most memorable. We stayed in a cottage where our host was a Scottish lady who knew her job well. Shweta and I could not help smiling as we saw the food spread on the table. She prepared an amazing meal of roast turkey that was fabulous. We had white wine, which was imported from Chile. For dessert we had a scrumptious apple pie. The entire meal was homemade and that made it authentic.
