The prank call was to make Zoya question herself as to why she always does it when it comes to Adi. Adi wanted to make her realise that she cared enough to leave her engagement ceremony to be by his side and that his well being is more important to her. He wanted to show her that she pictures him as a lover as well.

he just called and she ran to the hospital

he just proved what she is not being able to se..

after that adiya scene and those dialogues.. i can easily ignore that call😃
