Logistics and run of Bepanah till March ( Atleast !)

Hey guys,
Lots of talk about show going off air. Really and the worse thing is that fandom apparently falls for it every single time.
Why do you think such news is spread only about Bepanah !? It is because it is currently the most trending show and anything related to it gives the website or source the digital impressions it needs to increase its rank in search engine.

Next we have the slot change. Look this is not a shock to the TV world. It is not a last minute decision. We have been informed about it right now but they must have known. Only a reality Tv can beat a reality tv ! That's a saying. KBC has Amitabh Bachchan with the necessary emotional connect. BiggBoss has Salman Khan and the reality tv dose. Those odds are far better !

We all know Bepanah hasn't been very lucky with time. We have been bumped from 9 to 930pm and now 1030pm. This is the real litmus test. 9-10pm is called the death slot and even with average numbers you remain afloat. 1030 slot is anyone's game. Now the channel depends heavily on Harshad Chopra and Jennifer Winget fan power. This is where they need to prove their mettle. They should and I'm sure they will. Online hasn't been a problem for Bepanah.

There was once a conversation about taking Bepanah and converting it to Voot original. This was categorically shot down by production house and the cast. Each episode is given a certain budget. Since Cinevisatas is an established house the budget is 3-5 lakhs per episode. This budget goes up when we have marriage track or festive track. Harshad charges 70k per episode and Jennifer is 1.5L per episode ( 50 percent paid by channel and 50 percent paid by PH). They are both worth every penny that is paid to them. Their salaries form a huge chunk of what is paid to the PH for an episode , so it is exptected that they bring in the numbers. Luckily Cinevistaas has their own studio and set so they don't pay that rental.

When a show is launched with these stars an unspoken agreement is that of a year. 1 year or 12 months is what a channel gives them to run the story line. Bepanah by no means has had a dismal run. They have been consistently moderate. Take a show like Reporters that was finite. It has TRPs of .2 and yet ran its course. When a story is proposed to the actors they are given a rough storyline with macro level events that will be included in the show. Harshad and Jennifer would know what is the storyline for 12 months. Post that they wouldn't know. So, I'd say Bepanah is absolutely on air till March 2019.

Post that PH and Colors will take a call. The new proposed storyline will be discussed with the leads and they have full right to say No if they aren't convinced.

Another important point is bashing of CV. They do their part and then the script is shared with the channel. The channel approves the script and then it is shared with the cast. A number of times many mini tracks are not part of the actual story line but on channels insistence they are included. It could be ( I'm not sure. I haven't spoken to anyone in the channel about this) that Arshad track was proposed by the channel because their empirical DAT proves that third angle entry gets the numbers. So always CVs are not to be blamed.

Also, another point mentioned by a member was ITA. Harshad and Jenny will win best Jodi and it doesn't make sense that you promote them as face of the awards and then axe their show. That defies logic and it utterly stupid.

Jennifer Winget currently is Alia Bhatt of Indian Television. Just having her on the channel is a major draw. Cinevistass if had approached any other channel for this show they would have lappednit up. Harshad Chopra is super talented and now enjoys massive popularity.

Many have said 3rd angle tracks are disastrous going by history. Beintehaa is one example. So why would Colors push for a third angle drama, assuming it did? This is a costly mistake. I hope channel doesn't punish ph for it.

You're right!The things is Harshad & Jennifer's pairing has become a brand for the channel!Their pairing is giving all the other pairs on various channels a run for their money!Jennifer is phenomenal,its a known fact but Harshad has been a discovery for many & people just cannot stop gushing about how phenomenal he is!With both the leads doing their best & giving the channel revenue through online popularity(voot,social networking sites etc) & a decent trp of 1.9,I don't see the show shutting down anytime soon!The amount of views,likes & retweet colors gets for BP is tremendous & this is only for BP!Media is not allowed much on the sets but colors take all the pain & makes efforts to post all the behind the scene pics,videos etc!

It's so sad that the third angle completely reversed everything for cast and crew. Till now they must know that what works for others doesn't work when It comes to Bepannaah.

But why is Harshad's renumeration only 70k even after delivering hits most of the times and being in the industry for 12-13 yrs ? 😕 I thought it should be around atleast 1L ! Jenny's is apt for what she much deserves ! I wish looking on to the popularity his renumeration would be increased as well by the channel & PH !
