This letter is for those who believe that actors being public figues do not have the right to protect their private life. For those who believe that since we have the access to social networking sites,we can misuse it to ask someone questions about their personal life, which is not only means breaching someone's privacy but also extremely insensitive on our part. This letter is for those people who often forget that there lies a grey area between REEL and REAL,which set these two worlds of fiction and reality apart!
Behind the facade of glitz and glamour,of makeup and characters who rule our hearts and minds, there lies a person who is just like us-like you and me.They too have sentiments no different from us and however much they try to stay unaffected from all the brouhaha around them, there are times when they it gets to them.
In the name of journalism(read yellow journalism) the media continues to spin stories out of its gossip mill, spread rumors ,sensationalise news and build almost anything out of nothing, and the victims to these duboius sources-the gullible public, the ardent fans who have reached such a place from where they accept whatever is served to them.Often not using their sense of judgement to decide whether the source is reliable or not,or whether the rumor could create a pandemonium or not,or whether it would hurt someone's sentiments or not...
I'm talking not just about Beintehaa or about the numerous futile attempts that have been made by many to waver our support from BI,instead I'm talking in general about the plight of actors who are constantly under the glare of media and the scrutinising eyes of public,of people whose every single action is almost always overanalysed and made to reach conclusions and surprisingly all of it is done from that side of the fence from where we don't know what is going on in the other side!
And the worst part of it all-people who have got nothing to do with it,gets dragged into this meaningless mess and are irked beyond all measures to provide answers to the inane queries!
As I have said before-Do you really love and admire a person based on the personal choices that he/she makes? If it is so,then I'm afraid that your love and reverance is fragile and will wane out with the passage of time.If you really admire and adore a person then learn to respect his/her choices. So before getting deluded and taking part in sensationalise news ,place yourself in their shoes and try to think from their perspective...
If you really support and love Beintehaa and the people associated with it,then you'll find yourself flow against the tide and stand by the people who work day and night and put their best effort behind every scene ,to give us 22 mins. of bliss everyday-the people who've changed our lives in the past 6 months. This is what I feel about the upheavel regarding the different'rumors' .But then this is my standpoint,I can't impose my ideas on you,but then this is high time that you show where your loyalty lies,by getting yourself out of the blinkered attitude .I've decided and have found my answers...now its your turn my friends!
PS: Rumors will always be there in its proliferated form, but it depends on you whether you want 2 belive them or not.Rumors spread faster than disease but then they also blow off after some time !
From
An ardent fan and admirer of Beintehaa and all its actors
