SO... it's the end of this week and I really have nothing bad to say about these five episodes! Everyone one of them was a pleasure to watch and I eagerly anticipate the next episode! This is kind of a review of the past week and what I've been thinking... enjoy!
Praise:
- I am so pleased with this show! The pace is amazing, I'm so glad they haven't stretched out this annoying Aayat/Escort track! I don't think I could take it any longer! I love how they always have something new going on and don't let it get boring! There have been VERY few filler episodes in this serial thus far, which is a miracle in itself!
- LOVE the Zayn/Aliya scenes! Tooo cute! Their romance is the best!
- Nafeesa's wardrobe continues to make me green with envy. For some reason, I find that her clothes suit her perfectly! She's soo sleek! ! She is one classy lady! I hope she gets more screen time in upcoming episodes- her character is extremely fascinating! I mean, there's a reason Nafeesa is Miss UNIVERSE and Shazia is Miss WORLD 😆 Even Zayn is showing a little favouritism! 😉
Concerns
- Aayat-Rizwan track... NOOO PLEASEE NOOO. First of all that would just be too weird to even comprehend for me. Rizwan is such a sweetheart, honestly neither Gauhar or Aayat deserve him!... but Gauhar would still be better than Aayat 😕
- I seriously hope that Zain doesn't take it upon himself to defend Aayat in front of Aaliya and fight with her about it. Aaliya is Aayat's older sister and her reaction is completely justified. How the heck was Aayat stupid enough to get herself into that situation into the first place? But of course, now that she's back in her "homey" clothes and pigtails she's an innocent little butterfly and can't be scolded for something that was clearly her fault... *sarcasm intended* Aayat pisses me off so much words cannot express how I feel. I don't think Aayat deserves to be publicly humiliated about something that she was traumatized by, but I certainly believe that she deserves to be scolded.
Thoughts
- I know we're past this point, but it would have been really freaking awesome to see Surraiya and Aliyah team up to find that loser Rocky and bring him to justice! They're both so protective of Zain, it would have been amazing! This could have also possibly lessened the bad blood between the two. If you think about it, Aaliyah is the perfect daughter in law for Surraiyah. She clearly cares about the son Surraiyah values so much and goes to great lengths to preserve the dignity of the family (helping Fahad Bhai) which is also something Surraiya thinks is important.
- Another unlikely partnership: Aaliyah and Nafeesa (sooo classsyyy though)! I think there were a few hints thrown around about them teaming up, but we haven't seen anything yet of that sort. I hope Nafeesa realizes that if she kicks Aaliyah out... there's a chance Gauhar might take her place...😕 It really is in Nafeesa's best interest if Aaliyah stays- I hope she realizes that soon! Their partnership would be awesome!
- I hope Aaliyah tells her parents what Aayat did! That would stop any momentum that Surraiyah would gain by humiliating Aayat like that- don't get me wrong, I love Surraiyah, she's a boss, but despite the fact that Aayat has proved herself a dumb cow, exposing her in such a way is wrong.
- You know what Rizwan needs? A nice, intelligent, gentle girl. Poor guy. He's stuck between a rock (Gauhar) and a cow (Aayat). Rizwan's future is not looking pretty my friends, not pretty...
- I would love one episode, entirely dedicated to Surraiyah and Aaliyah beating the crap out of Rocky... wow, just thinking about it makes me smile!
Nafeesa... dur. I know that she, being 1/3 of the "three chudails", is not exactly popular on the forum, but I seriously think she's fabulous! She's clever, but not cunning and malicious like Shazia. She's got real class and does a fantastic job of keeping her feelings to herself, but you can tell that she just hates Shazia's presence and that it constantly reminds her of her betrayal at Fahad's hands. She's been through shit and is trying to survive in a house where the odds are stacked against her. Sure I wish that she'd stop picking on Aaliyah, but I can see why she needs to- in order to compete with Shazia for Mummy dearest's love. This week we saw Nafeesa go to great lengths to try to get payback, proving her to be a force to be reckoned with. She's clearly not afraid to go to any length to get back her pride, and despite the fact that she is even willing to put her brother on the line for it, that kind of drive and determination is awe inspiring- and dare I say it- admirable in a character. She's not perfect- and that makes her interesting. I hope the CVs continue to develop her character and we see some real growth in her!
LOL so that was kind of long... but this is what has been running through my mind these past few days, the end of the week seemed like the perfect time to share ;) What praise, concerns and thoughts do you have about this week? Fav character?
