''Your mistakes wont be forgiven so easily,Priyom! You have charmed me by your unfaithful promises but didn't act on it the moment when you have to fulfilled it the most! You have deceived me Priyom Thakur & I will never forgive you for this!" The words escaped from her lips very unknowingly; it was her heart who was letting the words slipped from her mouth because that was just the sharp pain stabbed her heart the moment he approached before her. She strode away from him into her house. Fresh moist of salty tears made through her eyes rolling down to her chin; again tormenting her soul.

The rituals were done in haste. Poonam was thoughtlessly engulfed in doing the rituals when her mother, Vimla asked is there any problem she is facing due to sudden marriage of her with Laakhan Thakur. The name eventually brought her back to the cruel reality & she nodded in assurance to her mother that everything is fine between the two; being herself so unsure about her own marriage.
Next morning, as promised, Laakhan Thakur arrived to her house. Completing all the other rituals, they left but not before they took blessings from her friends & Poonam embraced her mother & wept.
The journey of her house to his house suffocated Poonam as she was completely out of breath when Laakhan began to increased speed. She was unsure whether he is actually in rush or may be in rage. Hopelessly, she prayed to the almighty, being greatly perplexed.
As they entered to the hall, Rekha Devi arrived with an monotonous expression on her face. ''Why have you returned so early dulhaniya! You should have stayed there for few more days...'' she taunted. Suddenly her eyes fell on the gifts which was given to Poonam by her parents. Immediately, she took them from her hands & grinned, leaving Poonam baffled. ''Let me help you with this!'' She assured quite happily but before she could walked off someone gripped her wrist, halting her there only. She immediately looked at the owner of those hands. Her eyes widened in surprised.
Laakhan stood there with grave expression & forcefully took all the presents from her just handle it those to his wife. ''This house is also Poonam's. She can come here at whenever she she wants and----'' he dark eyes glared at her fragile form in an predatory manner with intensity killing her from inside, he further continued,''And can leave whenever she wants with my permission.''
Saying this, he dragged his wife along with him to his room, leaving a dumbfounded Rekha Devi behind.

The darkness inside Laakhan Thakur's room welcomed her. Poonam wondered is he always like this? The windows were closed blocking the way of sun rays to enter into the damp room. Laakhan stared at her for minute or two then left; without uttering a single word. Poonam sat in the bed & breathed a heavy sigh. Her mind was completely blank. She wasn't able to think about anything properly. The reason was her very own husband. Laakhan Thakur. She never understood his behavior ever. The truth is she knew that she is interacting with him as their relationship is now is an man & wife.
She recalled her life before her marriage. Who was Laakhan Thakur- the person with whom she just got married to? Her mind pondered. She was unable to answer to herself. Because she was no one to care earlier. Laakhan Thakur seemed an unknown person from her past whom she never once give a thought to. He was visible before her eyes but invisible in her thoughts. But was it appropriate for her to give him a place in her life when she was already engaged to his younger cousin brother ? And who knew what lies in future. Who knew that Priyom will betray her? Who knew she would have to marry her finace's elder brother for the sake of their families reputation? Poonam was mystified. She shrugged the thoughts from her mind & got up to complete the other chores of the household.

Rekha devi bombarded her with all the works of the house. She was greatly furious with her daughter in law. Because the way Laakhan, her only son began to treat her like an unwanted people in his life. His attitude was rebellious according to her & this behaviour of his dear son caused an awful misery in Poonam's life.
Poonam was in kitchen, preparing for the lunch. She realised the wheat floor was finished & hence called Rekha for help. She told her its in right hand corner side in wooden shelf attached to the wall & left in hurry. Poonam was confused. The box of wheat floor was before her eyes but she couldn't get it because it was too high for her. She pulled out a tool from the store room & climbed in it. The box was still out of her reach so she stood tip-toed on her foot & finally grasped it. She sighed & closed her eyes in relief. All of sudden the tool lost its balance & she stumbled over the tool of wood. She immediately shut her eyes thinking she would hit the marbled floor but a pair of rough muscular arms gathered her into its grip. She was stunned when she felt a rough touch against her skin as well as her not falling into the floor. She drew her eyes open & found his dark orbs glaring down at her with an threatened gaze. Her head rested in his chest & she too held his hands for support.
Laakhan helped her to straighten herself. She wanted to thank him but her voice wasn't able to hold the strength against him. ''Thank you...'' Poonam muttered slowly. His eyes fall over her & he nodded accepting her gratitude. ''What were you doing in the kitchen?'' He asked, she could sense his disturbance in his voice but this time didn't hesitated to answer with fear.
''Mummyji told me to prepare for the lunch. I was just--''
Her sentence left incomplete as Laakhan suddenly grasped her wrist into his fist & started to dragged her along with him. Poonam was startled by his sudden act but decided to stay quite till he dashed with her into their bedroom. He pushed her into the damp room & ordered to stay there only till he comes back. Poonam nodded slightly in response & he walked off from there.
