When I was old enough to get enrolled in a school, despite our then poor financial conditions, Dad decided to enroll me inan English medium school. Grandpa supported him to the fullest. Told,' We will starve for a day, bit let her get the best education possible. My child is the future of our family. She should be showered with the best.'
But, a grandma( a relation in our family, god knows how) said, ' No need to enroll her in English medium school. Let her study in this normal schools. Padhai karke kya Karegi, aakhir mein bartan hi toh dhone hai. Pati ka seva hi toh karna hai. Instead, save the money for your family and education. Some people supported her.
Hearing this, immediately my grandpa broke all ties with them.
Sigh!
