I have to be honest: The main reason Vidya is not my favorite heroine is because she is too perfect. She never gets angry no matter how badly she is treated. SOME anger is good and healthy. People should get angry about injustice, and Vidya is being treated unjustly. If someone had done to her husband what he is doing to her, she wouldn't let it go. Vidya doesn't seem to value herself as a person, which is wrong and sends a very bad message. She is more than just Sagar's wife. She is a good, loving, hard-working person and if this family can't appreciate her, there are plenty of others who can.

If Vidya wasn't the way she is, she would have never married a mad Sagar and then stayed in the mad house with so many problems... And she does get upset at times, remember how she gave a bhashan to the whole family on Sagar's birthday, so I believe this time too she will say something to them and then forgive them as usual...hehe😊

Haha! You know I agree, any normal person would stay angry internally and maintain a distance, "appear" to be nice to their in-laws once everything gets back to normal..or at least say that she was hurt to prevent it in the future. But watch, Vidya will say she wasn't hurt, yada yada..even go out of her way to help them, as she always does. But I guess there can be people like Vidya if you really think about it? So used to suffering that she just accepts it as a way of life. The only person she protects is those closest to her..she puts others before herself, it's just how she works. I disagree tho--she should learn that any injustice, including what's done unto her, is wrong. She still needs to learn that although she's made much progress expressing herself. That's why I really want her to beat Sin on her own, without Bua's or anyone else's help. Anywaysm, long story short..once things are sorted out with Sagar, there'll be no need to stay upset at the others. :)

Thats exactly why she is my favourite heroine! It took me a while to understand how great her character is. And no not because she is "perfect" and miss goody-too shoes. But its the consistency in her character, not ONCE has she swayed away from the person she is. After 1 1/2yrs, the creatives have been able to keep her character loyal to what she has always been.

Its SO damn easy to butcher a indian tele heroine by giving her an ego but Vidya is the same yet she has developed so naturally. Bani used to be my favourite heroine but what happened to her character after many months opened my eyes.

Please please Vidya never change otherwise the charm of Dulhann has gone!

Sagar being mentally ill isn't the same as him throwing her out of the house unjustly. I don't want Vidya to be mean or arrogant or change completely. I just want her to value herself and realize that she deserves better, and that even though she made a mistake in lying to them, they are making a bigger one by not forgiving her. This is a woman who has never lied before in her life! She can still be the same sacrificing, loving, and good-hearted person she is now...but she needs to stop letting this family insult her and step all over her. And in order to do that, she needs to learn to value herself.

I think she was great on Sagar's birthday. That's how I want her to be all the time! She was so confident when she told those dreadful people off, without sacrificing her sweet personality 👏

Sahi kaha Reemz... She is the best... You remember Divyanka once said in some interview that they can't play with the character of Vidya and so they are being good to her... She should remain as she is... 😊

sorry for interrupting😆....but i also have to say that Vidya is my favourite character. ok, i admit that she sometimes does little mistakes. but thats the great thing. she is always there for others and never want something for herself....just the pyaar of her pati. and now she even doesn't want that anymore, but just wanna see all happy.
i really can say from all heroines we have Vidya is my fav one. she is just simple and humble......and not arrogant or something like that....
i hope Benaras makes her more stronger...but still the way she is😊

But...none of this is what I said at all! Who said Vidya should have an ego and stop being humble and simple?! I never said anything of the sort. Perhaps I wasn't being clear? All I said is that Vidya needs some self respect. Ego and self respect are not the same. Until she starts to respect herself, the family will never respect her in return.

She think it's okay for them to treat her like this and it isn't. This is not a small mistake. It's bad for her and bad for women in general to view this as being virtuous or worthy of praise. I worry for people who think her behavior in this case is admirable because all it is doing is hurting her and the family.

We all saw how she was on Sagar's birthday...the way she defended herself and scolded those horrible people who were gossiping right in front of her. Was she being egotistical then? Of course not! We were all so proud of her for sticking up for herself. That's all I want from her...to know when she is being treated unjustly, and to speak up. How would that demean her character? It would only make her stronger.

But she DID speak up for herself but who listened? That pathetic family just does not want to listen to the TRUTH. She said again and again that whatever she did was to save Sagars life but without proof what could she do? She was silly to point fingers at Sin but when the truth was out, I dont think she wanted to lie anymore. I didnt see her begging till yesterday, which I didnt really want to see either but as we have all established...when it comes to Sagar, she doesn't have any self-respect. She REALLY did not want to leave him.

Of course she's gonna forgive them. When was she angry anyways? No matter what they do....Vidya will always be the one who falls to their feet and begs.

I bet when Sagar apologizes (That is IF he apologizes) she'll probably say,"No no why are you sorry,it was all my fault" 😡
