Hey Everyone😊

I just watched the first episode of BMTD and well at the end of the show the big secret of Vidya's being illiterate was reveled. Throught out the show, every time someone was about to mention her illiteracy they would stop and stare at Vidya, as if it is a really bad curse. I understand that being educated is important. Especially in today's world where everything is being computerized etc. I also understand that Vidya will never be able to get a good desk job.

Well I want to know your opion on this...

How important do you think it is for one to be educated in today's world?

What about Vidya, do you think her being uneducated is really like a bad curse on her?

Do you think if Vidya was educated then she would have been different, as in would she have moved out with her mom and tried to support her?

Do you have any suggestions for Vidya, how she could support herself, as in earn money, despite being illiterate?

Looking forward to reading all of your replies😊

Indeed a great discussion! 👏

They really stared at her as if it was a very bad curse!

But in today's world, one of the most important aspects is to be educated - I'm talkig about countries which have the possibilities.

If you aren't educated, you won't have a secure future and won't be able to give your own children one.

Even if an uneducated woman just wants to get married, have children and thinks her husband will earn all the money - it's often not enough if only one partner works.

As for it being a curse on Vidya - dekhte hai, aaghe mein hota hai kya. We can't predict that after the very first episode - we should wait and see what happens.

But I felt they made a very very big issue out of it in the very first episode, they way they stared at her was strange.

I feel it's never too late to learn - married women start studying nowadays, otherwise she might not get any well-paid job unless some businessman falls in love with her 😉 We've seen that so often in serials! 😳

great topic👏

And I agree...they all do look at her as if illiteracy was a curse. And truly education does give a lot of benefits to a person...and in this world it is also very much needed.

How important do you think it is for one to be educated in today's world?

I think it is very important to be educated...but that doesn't mean that an illiterate person like Vidya can not survive here...it'll just be harder!

What about Vidya, do you think her being uneducated is really like a bad curse on her?

Well, if being uneducated makes her stay with that evil chachi, then it might as well be a curse..

Do you think if Vidya was educated then she would have been different, as in would she have moved out with her mom and tried to support her?

Even if she were educated, she would still be a village girl....and those people who are educated in their area are probably not at a much higher level than her...maybe they can read and she can't....it doesn't mean that everyone is capable of using their knowledge in the right away....okay i got off track😆So basically, even if Vidya were literate, the person she is might not have been much different. So maybe she wouldn't have had the courage to move out.

Do you have any suggestions for Vidya, how she could support herself, as in earn money, despite being illiterate?

I would say by being emotionally strong - not taking their snide comments to heart....but then it's all easier said than done😉

Once again...great topic👏

You know this show kind of reminds of Seeta aur Geeta...well Seeta...and Seeta was literate if i'm not mistaken but yet she was as meek as a mouse. And Geeta, being illiterate, was the stronger one. So education does make a difference, but it's the environment that makes the biggest difference of all!

Well I want to know your opion on this...

How important do you think it is for one to be educated in today's world?

I think it is very important, you can go anywhere with a good education..Many more opportunities can come to you by themselves.

What about Vidya, do you think her being uneducated is really like a bad curse on her?

No I don't think so. She maybe cannot read but she is still a very nice girl...

Do you think if Vidya was educated then she would have been different, as in would she have moved out with her mom and tried to support her?

If Vidya was educated....hmmm. Maybe, maybe not. if education could give her the courage to do so...

Do you have any suggestions for Vidya, how she could support herself, as in earn money, despite being illiterate?

She doesn't have very many good p[tinos I can tell you that.

I also would like to point out one thing. It's okay that Vidya was uneducated but couldn't her mom teach her like in chachi's house at night or something??? Or is Vidya's mom also uneducated...she doesn't seem so though.... 😕

Looking forward to reading all of your replies

How important do you think it is for one to be educated in today's world?
Since the generations are changing year after year, it is important to be educated inorder to enhance the way of living for today. It just keeps changin, and I feel you must have some general knowledge such as reading and writing in order to survive in todays world.

What about Vidya, do you think her being uneducated is really like a bad curse on her?

I don't think its that bad because she can learn whenever she would like. She still has the opportunity, its never to late to learn because we always learn in life through school or through marriage.

Do you think if Vidya was educated then she would have been different, as in would she have moved out with her mom and tried to support her?

I think she would have been more different if she had learned the way of living and have more knowledge. Knowledge changes everything although I'm not sure if it would still change her view in life.

Do you have any suggestions for Vidya, how she could support herself, as in earn money, despite being illiterate?

I think she can still learn, she still has the chance/opportunity. Its never too late. since she lives in a mansion and has somewhat money as it belongs to her, she can take private lessons or ill be able to provide her lessons 😆 okay but in the story, maybe she can get a job that doesnt have to do wit reading or writing or her mother can teach her

this was a great discusssion and i like the story so far! 😊

Let me first congratulate you on opening such a interesting and valid discussion topic......

Heres my two cents worth...

How important do you think it is for one to be educated in today's world?

I personally think that education is very important... when I say education, I don't mean degrees and doctorates or even any professional accolades, all I mean is that its necessary to be literate, to be able to read and to write. This makes a person self-sufficient in the sense that it can bring in awareness and also empowers one with information which I think, is most important and powerful tool of all.

What about Vidya, do you think her being uneducated is really like a bad curse on her?

No... I don't think its a curse because the beauty of education is the fact that its never too late to start. One can start one's path towards literacy at any time in one's life....there are lots home-schooled or self-educated people out there....

Do you think if Vidya was educated then she would have been different, as in would she have moved out with her mom and tried to support her?

Yes, I think that, it would have certainly given her necessary confidence to step out and live a independent life rather than the slavish existence that she now has.... and also probably the awareness that her uncle and aunt legally don't have any right over her house and that they are not supposed to ill-treat her or her mother.
Just think, as an educated person (again I don't mean with degrees abound) would you take all the crap silently or would you do something about it?

Do you have any suggestions for Vidya, how she could support herself, as in earn money, despite being illiterate?

She should start towards being litereate and hopefully this will give her the confidence to stand up and fight the injustice that is being dished out to her and her mom!

Once agian, a lovely discussion......looking forward to reading all your views 😊

Thank you all who have particpated in the discussion so far....reading all of your opinions...Wow...you have have great views 👏 👏 👏 👏 , almost everyone agreed that it is never too late for anyone to get an education...and I totally agree on that with you all, I hope that this serial shows some of that, that no matter how old if one decides they can get an education, bring out a message and not just the same old drama...So far I like this show, and am hoping it just gets better and better 😊

invars I agree with you, that education is as important as the place where you are brought up...like in seeta geeta, even though seeta was educated she was still soo meek b/c of the way she was treated, and geeta b/c of the love she received from her addopted mother she was so much stonger...great example you gave👏
