Shambu will ofcourse help Hiten and Khemi elope! He is sensible. He would not want to marry Khemi even if Khemi pleaded with him!

Wish this secret comes out soon... it is definitely connected to DM'skids. How come Jhamku didn't know Subhi had 5 kids?

Do Gujaratis not have the maasi-bhaanja problem if the maasi is step-aunt? Among Tamils, I know this marriage won't be allowed.

I am so glad Kehmi is back the way we liked her at thee begining head strong and not just crying with mouth close, I was so glad she expressed her feeling to Nanaji even though he didnt listen much and OMG Hiten was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good today, the scene between him and DM wow he didnt even try to deny it or was felt guilty about it and he didnt even flinch when DM when to slap him. They make such HOT couple i really hope they get married.

Well actually I'm Tamil also, granted not one that lives in India but still one nonetheless and I can't think of anyone in my Tamil community that will object to a Hiten-Khemi sort of marriage. Most of them will just shrug it off and say it's not their business.

Thank you Mru and Sukhi for the update and Rasika for your input.

The only problem DM had was with Khemi being a maanglik. Does this mean if that would not have been the case or if Hiten's horoscope had matching or negating stars DM would have been OK with the Hiten-Khemi rishta? This is confusing.

It is obvious the creatives/writers have this whole scenario going on as they are trying to shift gears into the next track. They need something to put the characters of DM and Hiten at different ends of the spectrum. If Shambhu-Khemi get married and Hiten moves back into the haveli his role will not have much scope. Hiten's character needs his own parallel track for the story to move ahead.

I don't think it's a regional thing.....I think In Hindus Religion as a whole there are restrictions that are officially know as forbidden degrees of relationshipI
Plus scientifically, related genes means a higher chance of passing on genetic defects.

i think it will be something like where the dulha is wearing a sehra and hiten will be under the sehra not shambu and he'll marry khemi or he'll figure out a way to elope with but unever know with a BT drama who knows maybe shambu will marrry khemi and it will all be over
