Good point about Jagya enjoying Mannu's company the most! He's the only one who does not keep telling him what to do or reminding him of his past.

I think Jagya is confused because his decisions - be it the ones he took himself or the ones forced on him, all turned out to be wrong and ruined his life in some way or the other. He does not know what to do now.

I feel Singhs should leave him alone. Let him sort out his life piece by piece and support and guide him in what he chooses to do. Why does everyone always keep pressurising him?

Are Ganga, Anandi, DS, Sumitra his school teachers that they keep taking his class all the time?

And DS and Sumitra talking to him is still fine. But why keep making him listen to his ex wife or get him lectures from Ganga?

One thing I have always disliked about handling of Jagya's character by CVs is that he is naive. He is not mature or self assured or far sighted. Either he is shown getting "influenced" by someone or he's shown a slave to his impulses. The CVs have rarely shown him exercising his "sense".

Singhs are extreme. Earlier they did not guide him at all. Now they are hell bent on taking his class!

If Jagya's a ruin it's all due to his stupid family's faulty upbringing.

Bhairon's the only sane guy but sadly he had never been active unless there's a catastrophe. Both his kids turned out to be wayward. I wish he had not given in to DS and had disciplined his kids the way he had wanted to.

Actually I felt more pity for Shiv... such a respectable Collector's position he holds, but has no peace in his life. His happiness and sorrow depend on Singh's and dadisa' moods. He is like their faithful obedient servant.

I feel pity for both jagya and shiv as these 2 men are associated with godless anandi. In a way jagya has a better fate than shiv, as she will be visiting him once in a while with her gyaan. But, shiv what a bad fate he got !
