@Suchi
I agree with your post completely. 😊
The serial as a whole might be going haywire but individually episodes do have something to offer.
I too look at Jagya's behaviour as a result of child marriage and improper knowledge about relationships PLUS most importantly, flawed upbringing (DS spoiled him rotten and secretly taking him to marry little Gauri was another foolishness she committed!).
Shiv...no words for this character! Kudos to the one who designed it! They'll spoil us yaar! SUCH an ideal man? He's beyond dreams really. Great maturity and rare sensitivity, plus EXCEPTIONAL patience for a man, that too, an INDIAN MALE! Aaahh! I love him! 👏
But I hate how his niceness is being taken for granted by DS. She and Singhs did it to Shyam also. It's really bad to see their insenstivity!
I admire acting of each actor. But feeling as a viewer matters more to me. So even if I love Surekha ji's portrayal of a possessive grandma, I still can't help but get irritated at her character's taking other characters for granted and having them at her beck and call at odd hours! I too concur it wasn't just interruption of romance that irked me. That just isn't the hour to call someone that too for something like remarriage of ex-husband! It's fine to call if someone is dying, sick or has had an accident or something. But why call up to discuss a topic which can be discussed in the day also? Anandi did get scared why DS called at such an odd hour (anyone would!).
I admit I loved how Anandi had today truly shown that she had moved on. Her voice didn't quiver and she said "main bhi unse bahut pyar karti hun" with confidence in front of Jagya. Something positive and something to cheer about! 😃
Toral is great as fierce Anandi. But she still needs to fine tune emotional aspects of Anandi. She's improved but her acting doesn't look effortless. I always feel her effort shows in emotional scenes. And in today's scene with Shiv it seemed like she was trying hard. I expect her to make it all come across as effortless and natural, and just shed self consciousness onscreen.
Irritation in Jagya's eyes...ha! Sweet revenge! Rather too little for what he had inflicted on Anandi when he had so crudely rejected her! Still from Anandi POV I liked it, from his POV I hated it as his dawandol nature irks me to no ends! 😆
Jagya has been very very unstable, unpredictable and highly prone to change in behaviour under changing circumstances. It was acceptable when he was a kid. Kind of okay even when he was shown as a teen. But increasingly irritating as he grew older. He's like a bin paindi ka lota! It's high time he got a stand and became well defined - in every sphere - career (to study or not to study), personal life (to marry or not, who to marry, who to get attached to, and limits of attachment to each person), thoughts etc. I like Shashank's acting and it's great he's portrayed it so well but like I said, from character POV, it's been getting repetitive and tedious now and it's irritating to the viewer.
Lastly, I love your dedication for the show and how you look for and define positive aspects in each episode and character so eloquently!
Suggestion to CVs is spot on! I hope Jagya and Anandi can continue as friends - with no discomfort of baggage of bal vivah!
