After the first leap, Anandi's character has always beeing vague from time to time. The makers have made Singhs the main centre and Anandi's like some satellite that revolves around them. Grown up Anandi never showed so much attachment even for her own parents, Khajan and Bhago as much as she did for Singhs. And Singhs also, never showed so much attachment for Sugna as they are doing for Anandi.
Initially Anandi stayed with them saying she was bahu and couldn't leave Singhs, only her arthi would leave from Singhs' house (when Bhago had come to take her after Jagya married Gauri). She feels indebted to them for taking her side when Jagya deserted her, and for educating her, making provisions for her social work and motivating her to be Sarpanch of Jetsar. The fact that they chose to live without their son, their laadesar and waaris Jagya and supported her in every way, gave her Dada ji's locket (which was earlier given to Jagya) and made her their "everything". It's all entrenched in her mind and this is why she always tries to be with them, serve them.
Singhs also feel attached, and even more after she refused to file case against Jagya, convinced Bapusa to keep financing Jagya's education & expenses and refused to go with her parents after Jagya's betrayal. Even more after she convinced everyone to forgive Jagya and give him a chance. DS feels indebted and attached to Anandi due to such actions too.
Let's not forget, the bond between her and Singhs is too strong and different from any other bonds between families and daughters/DILs. Also, Shiv and second marriage were imposed on her. She didn't do it all voluntarily, she even got married on Singhs' insistence.
Despite all of Shiv's niceties and Shekhars' awesomeness, Anandi is still taking her time. She got attached to Shiv and Shekhars but is yet to let go of attachment to Singhs.
Yesterday's episode was totally trash though.
