The demand for a baby from Ansh start too soon. Anyway, if CVs want, they will bring this pregnancy track. Don't know what social message in this. But we should request CVs to please don't show that cliched portrayal of treating pregnancy as a disease. I mean in films and serials including BV, the lady (even when becoming a mother second time) does not know that she is pregnant. It is just that she suddenly faints, the doctor (usualy a male doctor) comes, takes BP and declares the good news- or like in case of Ganga a Vaidya ji takes pulse and out come the good news. Gauri was herself a doctor (and a lady does not require to be a doctor to know that she may be pregnant) but even she could not guess that she is pregnant. Such scenes have been repeated so many times that when Sumitra fainted (after Jagya left haveli) and Lal Singh was taking her BP I thought that he will declare that 'good news'. Thank God it was not so. And after this breaking news comes the treatment like the lady is actually very ill - bed rest, lots of eatables and pampering by family members. All these things look very odd when we all know that in cities the working women continue to work almost upto the date of delivery and the village girls are even more hard working.
So I request CVs to plese don't show all these to our sweet Anandi. It will look better if Anandi finds out that she may be pregnant and discloses this to Shiv/Sumitra/Ira/Choti ma etc. and then they confirm it by urin test and other tests.

sorry but u r asking for too much 😆..its close to impossible to show a normal pregnancy in serials...it irritates me like hell...i have read news about some woman giving birth to baby while working in fields and here in t.v they behave with preggers like they are in their last stage of cancer 😡...i liked what they showed it Badmaash Company...Anushka was shown 6-7 months pregnant and yet she was so active and even my neighbor is 6 months pregnant yet she does all the work...just went to a marriage alone...goes for shopping and meets her friends downstairs everyday..it took me quite some time to know that she is actually pregnant because her actions were so active...now look at Gehna,...she is not even pregnant yet she stays in her room like a paralysed person and the act of holding your stomach and walking during pregnancy makes all this look so comical 😆 😆 😆 like if the woman does not hold her stomach the baby will fall out 😆 😆 😆

I'm also rather annoyed by this sudden pressurization...I mean, realistically...it is so damn AWKWARD for the couple in question! Being pregnant isn't about giving your grandparents great-grandchildren...it holds a lot more significance and comes with much greater responsibilities! It should be up for the couple to discuss their "family planning" in their own bedroom...everyone else should not be so vocal about their opinion... For example, Dadisa should not have asked Shiv about when him and Anandi are planning to have a baby...what the hell...how is he supposed to know that anyway..even if they did consummate their marriage, he's not the one bearing the baby, how is he supposed to know the technicalities of Anandi's menstrual cycle and whether she has conceived or not!?!

And I'm starting to think that too...maybe this pregnancy track had been under construction and it might've turned Pratyusha off...fair enough. I just don't understand why Indian soap operas have to follow the annoying and monotonous trend of marriage, consummation, pregnancy, perhaps a miscarriage, second pregancy, baby, time leap, show going off air. There are very few shows that have swayed away from that norm (i.e. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai... I don't watch it but I read articles and catch promos here and there) and I'm hoping BV is another one that sticks to its originality and doesn't get trapped into this messy storyline.
Babies are NOT always the next step after marriage...there is a lot more for AnSh to accomplish and experience as a couple and I really hope that the team of BV acknowledges that and gives this much loved couple their due!

The sad but true stuff about the society is, the moment you get married even your doohwallah become interested in knowing, good news kab ayega.
So the fact that the whole family has nose dived into the pregnancy stuff is not really uncommon.

Reagrdless, it is still annoying and beaten to death track in Indian soaps.

@libsrocks and @tannipartner:
I completely agree!!! Being pregnant is not a disease and it is unfortunately not uncommon for people to over-indulge in a married couple's life...SIGH!!
I just hope that BV continues to live up to its standards...I don't mind the intial pampering by Shiv if Anandi became pregnant..I think it'd be rather cute for him to think of it as a disease and be extremely careful about anything to do with her...it'd make for some super adorable AnSh-filled episodes! But then, I do want them to converse like a mature couple about Anandi being just as normal as anyone else when she's pregnant...if she can take the responsibility of the entire village on her shoulders being the Sarpanch, then I'm sure she can carry the responsibility of her and her child if she was to be pregnant.
Much like you guys, I also want them to discuss like a mature, married couple whether they're up for a third member in their family yet...there's nothing wrong with not wanting to be pregnant...in fact, I think it's much smarter to not want to have a baby immediately after marriage as opposed to having one and then neglecting all the responsibilities that come with it!
And finally, @libsrocks, I'd love to send my views to the BV office...but firstly, I don't know how..and secondly, I don't doubt their IQ level either! I'm sure they're sensible enough to know that real life is much different than what they show on television, and at the same time they're sensible enough to know that if they show "real life" on television then their show's success might be hampered (it's often very risky to sway from the norms of Indian soap operas!) Besides...they're already bombarded with fans calling day in and day out after Prats' replacement...I doubt they're up for one more person to add to their daily stress!
