Was turning Jagya negative the only way ahead?

I have'nt liked Jagya for a long time. He is like any other completely spoiled brat, who believes that the world and its people are here to do his bidding. He has been portrayed as self centred and rather dishonest from the very beginning. But even then, he used to have these flashes of goodness - and I'm not talking about the childhood that he and Anandi shared.

Even after Gauri came into their lives, Jagya used to be a staunch supporter of Anandi. He has told Gauri that he respects Anandi and thinks very highly of her. He had even yelled at Gauri's mom when she kept referring to Anandi as the "doosri aurat". And of course, when A was kidnapped and presumed to have run away, he refused to accept it and his belief in Anandi was so absolute that he went all the way there and rescued her. Even as far as the badi maasi episode, he was family focused.

It seems that after Gauri lost her baby, Jagya went beserk. Suddenly, he just went overboard with his anti family nonsense. Blaming A for the loss of baby, seeking a share in property, the bhabhut episode and now this "revenge" madness.

I wonder if it was necessary to make him so negative for the story to proceed. Nobody in their right minds would accept J back as a husband and Anandi neednt have ever forgiven him. But could they not have shown him as someone who understands why all the family is so unforgiving? At the very least, they could have continued with him being grey. This blacker than black character that seems to be getting readied for Jagya is, in my opinion, unnecessary.

The story could have continued the way it is now, with A and Shiv getting closer and J watching them and burning (I want much, much more of those scenes!). J is already quite beyond redemption with all the stunts he has pulled. If he goes on to create mischief and mess around with A's life, he will become a complete b!@#$d who only deserves to be shot.

Will he be allowed to find a way back or will the show just make him the villan? And again, was making him the villan the only possible way for the show to proceed?

I completely agree with you!!! there we no reason to show Jagya becoming sooo negative, think they are just trying to prolong it.

I felt bad for Jagya... I mean, it's true he cannot be forgiven because that would be like betraying Anandi.
But I wish they had taken some care of him... being disowned by parents and family is the worst thing that could happen to anyone, especially if he has no where else to go.
I guess what comes around does go around... he disowned his family and hurt them.

When did he disown his family?

All I can say is drama requires provocation and shock to live on and get desired TRPs 😉😆
