I'll set out the point of this post right at the beginning: NO ANANDI-JAGYA REUNION, FOR GOD'S SAKE! Jagya's probable trip back to Jaitsar and everything else isn't what is scaring me as much as the new montage - which for those who haven't seen it, shows Anandi in the middle, with Shiv on one side and Jagya on another 🤢 🤢 Whoops, Jagat on the other side :-/ And I couldn't believe Jagya today - he was actually asking god to tell him what he did to deserve all 'this'? Mister, you need to ask that question to anyone? Haven't you heard of 'what goes around, comes around'?? I do not understand how he's become so incredibly self-centred...he's asking himself why he's become so alone and isolated from everyone else, but with the way he has acted, with the initial abandonment of Anandi and his near-disavowal of his family, then with the way he acted when Bhairav approached him to sign the divorce papers, with his demand for his share of the property, the way he (illogically) accused Anandi of being responsible for Gauri's miscarriage, does he actually expect to be on good terms with his family members any more? Even when he was blaming Gauri today, for his perceived failures and what not, it was all Gauri's fault according to him...dude, have you ever really introspected and even considered the possibility that it might have been your fault, if not entirely, then in some part?
And honestly, the guts this guy has...today, now of all times you realize how instrumental Anandi was in your education as a doctor? When you compare her efforts in your success to some other woman's efforts in your success? Honestly, to me, it seems that Jagya's loves people depending upon how happy they make him...now that Gauri and her professional success are irking him, he suddenly takes off his rose tinted glasses and discovers that life isn't all hunky-dory.
Even if he goes back to Jaitsar...I do not want Anandi to accept him, I simply don't. If the creatives maintain the constancy of her character, and if I consider the character development thus far, it doesn't seem that she will either, but you never know with Indian soaps 😭 Jagya has an overwhelmingly paternalistic mindset - he can't withstand being second to his wife in the profession sphere, can't call her ma'am, when really, what do you expect when she's deservedly your superior because she's more qualified than you? To me, it seems that he wants more of a doormat than a partner in the real sense - someone who has to be subordinate to him at all times. Whereas Shiv seems to really respect Anandi, not just in her capacity as a sarpanch and a teacher, but also as a person, as an individual...even when Jagya and Anandi were in 'love', Jagya always used to taunt her for her 'backwardness' and lack of education...never would he even think about getting her to complete her education, oh no. He'd taunt her when she brought milk and whatnot to him, but he had no qualms about taking the same from her :/ Bringing these two back together is a recipe for disaster - it will completely negate whatever good work the creatives have done so far, in showing the development of Anandi, Dadi-saa and a whole host of other people as characters, and it just strikes such a blow to the feminist cause, as weakly as it is already portrayed in the show. These two are an absolute no-no for me.
Also, I don't want Anandi to realize Shiv's 'worth' or something just because she compares him to Jagya...like that day's post-dream sequence, she kept thinking about how the two said vastly differing things to her, about her...but I want Anandi to fall in love with Shiv on her own terms, on the basis of Shiv's merits as a person, not on the basis of Shiv's merits as compared to Jagya's demerits. :/ :/
