One of the things that has intrigued me about the recent (over last year) track of J and G is the enormous impact its had on my own personality development -- the ethical development
aspect.
I've always had a good sense of ethics in terms of explicitly spelled out rules -- no plagiarism, no academic cheating, no monetary ghaplaas etc.
but I dont know whether I've had a good sense of ethics in terms of tacit rules or grey areas where something that is not explicity laid out can be bent. And Balika vadhu has been very instrumental in helping me explore the tacit grey areas of life where everything cannot be spelled out, and sometimes you have a wide area/net to play with and define your own moral boundaries. And I've grown a lot through forum discussions and watching the serial itself.
I think the track is now over (unless there is to be one more ethical discussion on abortion when gauri decides to choose her career over the child)... but that too has been covered comprehensively on woman11's thread a few days ago.
even though the track is over, I want to continue my own personal explorations.
Do any of you have additional resources i might want to consider --
any recommendations for books, movies, websites or even your own anecdotes and thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
