Changes brought by BALIKA VADHU on Indian Television

If we honour Balika Vadhu as a Reformer of Indian TELEVISION then nothing wrong in it. It is the first new innovative serial that not only got popularity in short interval of time but also changed the taste of people. It brought us from saas bahu sagas to real life incidents that are connected with us. After coming of this serial all long running saas bahu dramas get ended and producers got opportunity to bring new concepts. Today we see serials with less Plastic surgeries, deaths and again comeback, lost memories, 2-3 times married people, vamps with heavy makeup. But now we see sweet saau moms ,rebellious bahus, traditional grandparents. We can see changes and formulas which it brought-
Firstly it started a trend of social issue based serials like child marriage, female infanticide, women harrasment, girl education etc. Now producers are finding issues in towns and villages of india. secondly it teached makers to add REGIONAL TADKA in serials like dailect,costumes,culture,real locations. Now serial makers use real locations. It also attracted towards rajasthan from punjabi or gujrati backdrop. Also it made us shift to rural india.

Thirdly it populered child artists as lead roles. We got talented chidren like avika,sparsh, jannat etc. And also new artists in every serial. Now makers find new talents rather than older ones.

Forthly now serials are not centerd on only lead roles but also importance is given to supporting roles and now people are more attracted towards them and appriciate their acting skills like surekhaji ,meghna ,sudesh ,sajjansingh in pratigya ,vibha ,neha etc.

But now this serial is showing some unusal dramas and the tv serials are also overcrowded with look alike concepts Now new serials are increasing fastly . Aaye din naye serials and people are also frustated with repeating things . Now there is a race for trps and so channels are ready to do anything like reality shows with famous stars ,more fictions ,event functions etc. Something is now conjusted now lets see what new they will show to increase gross points.
