Mahavir plots against Maasa
Krishna and Govind await Khajan's return. Khajan and Bhago come home and sadly tell them all that happened in the haveli. Bhago keeps crying at Anandi's fate. All the adults decide to keep all the details from Anandi, so as to not upset her.
At the haveli, Sumitra decides to try calling Bhairav. Basanth stops her just as she is making the call and tells her not to act hastily. He assures Sumitra to convince Maasa once Bhairav returns. Gehna too agrees with Basanth. Sumitra reluctantly agrees.
Ramcharan Singh (Shyam's tausa) and MS come to visit Mahavir, who tells them that he will help in avenging their insult from Maasa. He gives them a lot of money and tells them to free up all the land that Maasa is holding against debt and prepare papers in Mahavir's name. MS and RS don't understand why this needs to be done. Mahavir says it will all become clear as things take shape.
Anandi questions her parents about what Maasa said. The two of them assure Anandi that she will go back to her saasra. Anandi nervously asks Bhago if she will end up committing suicide like Rani. Bhago cries and consoles Anandi that even if she stayed back with them, they would never let her suffer like Rani.
In the morning, Maasa and Basanth talk about business. Basanth asks her to sell some barren land, but Maasa refuses saying it was the first land she bought. One of their debtors comes back with lumpsum amount and asks for his land papers. Maasa and Basanth wonder where he got so much money, when they knew he didn't have it two days ago. Later, Makhan Singh gives Sumitra a package that came from Nagore.
Bhago and Khajan wake up late and find that Anandi is already up and ready and has finished all house chores. Both of them are touched that she has become so responsible. Bhago has Khajan bring a lot of costly items for Anandi. She agrees to pawn the house to buy land. The sethji who loans them money makes Khajan sign a paper agreeing to pay back all the money within a year, else the house will be the sethji's. Khajan signs the papers much to Bhago's distress.
At night, Sumitra gives the package to Maasa who begins to open it. She tells Maasa that it came from Nagore. Maasa is shocked. She throws the box and drives Sumitra away, locking her door. Gehna asks Sumitra and Sumitra tells her that she has never heard of Mahavir Singh, but there was something major that happened to Maasa, that she is hiding. She has never seen Maasa this upset.
In her room, Maasa nervously opens the package to find two gold bangles. She remembers Mahavir Singh's voice in the past, telling her that the bangles will look good on her hands and that he will make her wear them. Maasa vows to not let Mahavir Singh ruin all that she has struggled to build...
