Haldi ceremony begins
Phooli wishes to see the ceremony and is caught
Anandi asks Phooli's parents about Phooli. They tell her that she is outside. Anandi asks Daadisa if she can go out to meet Phooli. Daadisa grudgingly says yes. Anandi and Jagya go outside to talk to Phooli. Jagya asks Phooli why she won't come in. Phooli sadly tells them that she is not allowed to come in as she is a widow and is considered inauspicious. She expresses her desire to see the festivities. Jagya feels bad for Phooli. He tells her that he will make sure that she sees everything without upsetting Daadisa
Gehna is taking rest in her room. Baavri(marriage broker lady) comes there. She apologises to Gehna saying she was partly responsible for Gehna's plight. She is the one who convinced Gehna's father to accept this proposal. She didn't realise that Gehna would suffer so much because of this marriage. She advises Gehna to accept her new life as is so that she will be happy. Gehna asks her if she can live with consuming slow poison everyday. Her situation was like that. Baavri has no answer.
Sumitra is thinking sadly when Bhairav comes to her. He asks her why she is crying, but she brushes it off. Bhairav tells her that he knows she misses her family. Sumitra tells Bhairav that she had no one left in her family but her brother. She wishes to see him, but knows that Maasa would never allow this. Bhairav tells her that he has invited him as well. Both of them discuss Maasa's nature to insult everyone and how she gets pleasure in this.
Its morning. Suguna's haldi ceremony starts. All the suhagans start applying haldi and tease Suguna. In Pratap's house, his mother is happily applying haldi to Pratap too. Jagya comes in with a little girl, wrapped from head to toe in a dupatta. He carefully takes her to upstairs. The girl turns out to be Phooli. Jagya tells her that she can watch everything from this place and wouldn't be caught. Phooli is happy and thanks him. Jagya goes to Anandi and whispers in her ear about this. Daadisa sees this and wonders what they are upto next. She angrily calls Anandi's parents aside and starts to yell at them. Bhairav and Sumitra see this and wonder what's happening. Daadisa takes everyone with her. They catch Anandi and Phooli red handed watching the ceremony below. Daadisa angrily throws away Phooli's dupatta....
