Hey guys,

I just recently started watching the show, so i was catching up, i read the abisheik episode, in that episode it was revealed that anandi is 12, Jagya is 13 and Sugna is 15. Can I just say that she does not act 12 at all, plz dont get me wrong, i mean sometimes she asks questions, which frankly every other 12 year girl would know, but she wouldn't. I know she is really innocent, but sometimes it kinda gets annoying as she acts like a young kid. Dont get me wrong, i am not saying that a 12 year old is not a kid, but a 12 year old behaves, lets say, to an 8 year old. Wat say??

I didn't see the actual update, but read an up-date:

Anandi is portraying a village girl from rural Rajasthan. I doubt if she has access to any of the things we city folks do, I have seen little children of the people who work in people's houses in India and they are extremely innocent. They have very less exposure, atleast now on account of TV it is better but where there is no TV it is exactly the way Anandi is portrayed. Rural Rajasthan is a lot different. The experience is very different when u are married off at the tender age of 10 or 12 years. Most of the unwanted pregnancies happen because of lack of knowledge and exposure as well. You really have to visit rural Rajasthan to experience it. Other rural areas especially in Southern India or Maharashtra are different because other social factors, gram panchayats have a say there. In Rajasthan all this does not work when it comes to customs and traditions.

I believe the actress who plays Anandi is 12 years old - but she is playing an eight year old. So in that case, her portrayal of Anandi is correct. 8 year olds are very child-like in their demeanor and questions.

Nevermind, I'm wrong. Haha. She is supposed to be 12. Then you're right - I don't know why she behaves that way either. :P

i dont mean to say that she is not as knowledgable as the ppl in the city, i mean in the village, like wen it was her wedding, her friends (which i assumed were the same age as her) told her a lot of things, on how marrige is suppose to be. But i do agree with u on the face that girls from the vilage are more innocent,(for example, when anandi and her friend (who she gave the mithai and chudiyan to) didn't know what manhoos meant. i was like aw, it's kinda better that they dont know, as it would hurt more if they did know know what tht meant) which is also portrayed through the seriel, and i have also personally experienced that as well.

i totally agree with u....

its not her fault.
it's the choice of makers to put some spice on story.

n other reason is that she is the only child of her parents.she has no brother or sister.therefore she becomes so duffer sometimes.

well i totally overlooked at that fact, that she is an only child, maybe that's the reason.
