I have very little hope that anandi will stand up for her rights and truth this early by telling the full truth and exposing jigar and his family to the NGO ladies, police, anand and his family. In itv the truth exposure is always stretched, and on top of it anandi does recognise jigar as her husband instead of protesting the marriage to be illegal due to her being underage when it happened (I have not seen a single scene yet where anandi even acknowledges that this child marriage situation that has been thrust on her is an injustice as she just seems to accept it as the truth), but if anandi says nothing and completely covers up for jigar and his family and accepts in front of everyone tomorrow that jigar is her husband, then how will the story move forward?
Because if she does not expose them at all tomorrow, if she just quietly accepts in front of all that jigar is her husband, then anand and his mother will not be able to do anything for her, the ball will be completely in jigar and his family's court with them being able to just take anandi back home with them to force this marriage upon her as planned, and anand and his mother will not be able to say anything and have to mind their own business, so then how will the both families' lives cross paths and what role will the mother-son duo even play in the story if anandi accepts jigar is her husband and doesn't expose him?
The fact that none of the elders of jigar's family, not even his mother can see how scared, uncomfortable anandi is with jigar or how much of an injustice they are doing to her by not even caring about her consent is also unsettling. They all just seem obsessed with the idea of having anandi as their bahu and their son, but none seem to understand or care at anandi's obvious discomfort. That's why jigar's overtly-sweet mother annoys me, because she acts like she dotes on anandi, whilst simultaneously behaving ignorant to the pain and fear that is written all over anandi's face, not once questioning whether they should even ask if she is okay with this marriage that was imposed on her when she wasn't even old enough to consent to the marriage or object.
That scene where anandi has a self-talk with her subconscious gives the illusion to the audience that this girl will not keep quiet and may stand up for the truth, but predictably will be just a disappointing filler scene that most likely may end up with anandi ignoring the advice of her own subconscious (as usually happens on itv), as the same scene showed her debating her own subconscious by yapping about how much jigar's family have done for her brother (neglecting to acknowledge the obvious self-serving agenda behind their kindness; that they raised her expecting her to silently accept her position as their daughter-in-law once she reaches adulthood), so we can expect her gratitude towards this selfish family to trump her urge to stand up for justice and truth.
