The damn colors TV is just acting so stupid, senseless & bejazbaati, giving a show like Bhagyavidhaata an extension! 😡 They can just scrape it off now very conveniently & replace it with BP-2😃.......the show hasn't been doing any good for the channel anyhow with very low TRPs for a long time now & 1.0 on the channels' ratings during the the last week.😒 Then what makes them continue with this stupid & baseless show?😡 They have been just nothing but very unfair with Bairi Piya, pulling it off-air for no justifiable reason to really speak of. 😭 Really hope they have started regretting their decision now & started thinking of bringing back BP with a Sequel/Season-2.🤔

hey ,

what an amazing topic and very well written..for a moment there i thought you had copied some article as a topic...your a very good writer!!

Coming to the topic, your absolutely right !! DV was both a blessing and a curse for the show ..A blessing bcoz it captivated many hearts and many ppl watched and cursed coz he was the only one with that star power in the show...the other characters were nothing worth while to remember forget getting a fan base for the secondary characters.. i always wondered how the PR managed to hold on so long...it was pretty boring to me; but the secondary stories were inter woven very beautifully in it maybe thats one of the reason...BP 1 succeeded only coz of SK / DV...But BP2 needs to be better conceptualized if we wanna keep it on air for a long time without having to worry when it will suddenly end...

And yes, you're absolutely right. We need to get BP2, but in such a way that we won't lose it for the same reasons. So we need to not just fight for BP2 but to think on it. Quite frankly, I'm fighting for the DV-Amoli romance, be it as a sequel or a season 2. I want to see them together. If I wanted to see them not together, I wouldn't be bothered with BP2 because we can see them apart on our TV screens on other shows and events. It's the couple with their magical chemistry I want to see.

And yes, the secondary pairings do have to be able to hold their own.

yup i think kajri and sandhya were good actors but the male cast was very weak ...puneet and radhe really didnt make much of an impact i feel....what we need is actor who act well and are also in demand right now (maybe like kingshuk, karan wahi, etc) and we will will have theri ready made fan base to add to our owns .......

No, buddy. I'd actually bet on the actor who played 'Puneet'. I've seen him play a variety of shades, and he brings his roles alive. And while I despised 'Radhe', I have a good opinion of 'Salil Mittal' in KMH.

We need secondary pairings, Kirti. Not actors who will expect to be given equal or nearly equal footage to DV. Their readymade fanbases wouldn't help us. Rather, they'd fight us to get their guy primary position. Come on, if it was Sharad going into a show for a longterm role, and there was already an established pairing as leads, and Sharad and his costar were given secondary position, wouldn't we want to see our favourites given more importance? No matter how unfair it is to the established leads of the show?

It has to be charismatic supporting actors' pairings, dear. If it's additional leads besides DV-Amoli, we'll be worse off than with BP where no pairing existed except in how it affected DV and Amoli.

In my opinion, the other actors who acted in BP were actually not given the proper importance they deserved. Had they each been given their due importance & focus, BP might have lasted longer like the other BT shows. And if BP-2 comes with the same cast, I feel this can still be done. But the BT team has to seriously concentrate on this matter this time, if BP has to last longer on-screen for it's audience. And if they can make that possible, then there would be no need I think for new cast to be introduced in the show.

Puneet's character was very good & acted well by Mohit Dagga. And in one or two scenes, I even felt he overshadowed SK's acting as DV. But it didn't stand too popular in front of DV's character & so was sidelined.

Suren was good as cupid between DV-Amoli but they could have given his character a face-up instead of just showing him agreeing with his chachu in each & every thing he does & also just walking in his shadow, during the very few instances he appeared on the show. His presence was felt but never given the limelight it truly deserved.They could have shown some scenes with him planning with Kajri & DV's mother to devise some method to to get the Dv-Amoli together or shown how he fell for Kajri & brought her out of her distressing state after Puneet's death.

Kajri & Sandhya's characters were also shoved aside & really not depicted in the proper way they should have been.

Kajri was good as a well-wisher of Amoli-DV but she didn't get what she deserved the most to get, Puneet's love & understanding of her at a later stage, due to her goodness which could have been very well done. And even if that wasn't shown & hadn't the story ended so soon, she could have at least got someone in her life after Puneet's death, who would have given her a much better life with lots of love really deserved by her. This would have given her character a pull up & true focus.

Sandhya also was shown to have grey shades but they wern't depicted properly as all of a sudden one day for no proper reason, she was shown to bring out her true colours, in the form of hatred for Amoli & DV. Had they spent some more time on her track & not hurried it, they could have shown some other major reason for her dislike of the 2, instead of just greed for money & property like her husband Radhe. Then she would have also got what was needed for her character.

No, Indu. Too many of the supporting cast lacked in either acting skills or screen presence. And by that, I don't actually mean there were too many in number, but rather that even the few that were eroded BP's strength.

It just occurred to me that to ensure a long run for BP2, it's rather imperative that it steer clear of any controversies and social issues. Just a romance like in other serials, with the Sharad-Supriya chemistry making it magical.
