I don't generally get to watch the episodes everyday as I travel like crazy. In fact I hardly watch television series. So for the first time in my life after I came across BP (just two months ago as we did not have this channel from our provider here in the middle east), I found myself going to youtube or desi-tashan to watch the episodes even while I travel or recording episodes on my dvr. As I do not keep up with news about new telecasts, was not aware that it was going off air...I returned to just see the last week episodes and was really amazed that they took the show off air.

Then I came across all this discussions on about the portrayal of feudalism and oppression in BP and I, LMAO. I mean, we have series that shows women sometimes divorcing and marrying multiple men; we have series that is based on the underworld and killing sprees galore; we even have shows on swayamwars'.(how ancient is that) and we are worried about a show that depicts how a man changes from bad to good for the love of a woman'

Come onnnnnn''''''

Get BP back'..

outstanding, splendid performances by Sharad Kelkar and Supriya Kumari as DV & Amoli, and this was one of the best shows given to us by Ekta. We request you to please give us the Sequel of Bairi Piya or a Season-2 with our favourite stars Sharad and Supriya in the lead.

The most memorable moment on the show to me is when DV tells Amoli that she is mistaken in thinking that this story was about her and her love. He says that this is his story, the of his love and of his fate which is intertwined with this love. And it was… this was the story of DV… and all the people around him.

This series presents one point most of us do not consider immedately. When we are trying to live two lives where we are not complete in either, time itself brings us to a point where we need to find balance painlessly or painfully. And a man of capable of high emotions always goes through higher amount of pain.

Takhur DV lived a perfect double life initially… between a happy home and his pleasure palace (tekhdi). But then he meets this woman who he initially only desires after but controls his lust for. Unfortunately fate and time play their hands and turns his desire into an obsession which he is unable to control due to the fact that this is one woman who brings out the entire kaleidoscope of his emotions. His attempts to acquire her are futile not because he is weak but because he not only needs to possess her but also expects the response of acceptance of his passion from her. The devil in him drives him to obsession stopped at that last point only by his need for her to reciprocate. The good in her held strong by her will power brings in front of him the one truth of love. The harder you hold the hastier love leaves you. Amoli may have been the catalyst of his redemption but what truly redeemed him was his need for her acceptance. And what changed him was his realization that by hurting her he has ultimately hurt himself.

While I can go on… it takes a great actor to render such a complex character credibility and befriend the audience. Sharad has obviously done that and more…

So loosing Takhur DV was like losing a friend who disappeared mid way to live his life and left a big hole in yours.

Guys,

I wish with all my heart that they bring back this show... not for me but for individuals like you who not only take an interest but also take the effort to make it happen. You have no idea the smile I have on my face whenever I read your posts. I hope Balaji and Colors responds.

Also I hope Sharad and Supriya know what diehard fans they have. S&S… you guys are blessed for such fan following.

And I was lying when I said "not for me" initially… for me too…..but especially for all of you…

luv gviswam
