So, I haven’t really watched the show in a bit, just skimmed past it but this is just a short scene where we can call out all of the nonsense that they are making our favorite characters do on the show.
So previously, I had bought Maan in as the cousin brother of Ram and those same dynamics remains. However, this is an independent scene with no connection to the previous OS and is based approximately 2 years into Shivina’s death and the separation. Pihu is just a year old. Priya got jailed but got out early since Ram didn’t want her to be jailed while pregnant.
The context is that everyone knows of Nandini, Shubham, Ishaan and Vedika’s reality. Ram is aware that Pihu is his and Priya’s daughter and that the reason Priya hid it was because of Nandini. They spoke at length about it and have decided to give their lives another shot since the first one was so brutally snatched away. Everything is out in the open and that is due to Maan who has gotten the truth revealed but no one knew of his involvement till Krish didn’t point out that someone was helping him reveal all this and people who knew Maan understood that it was him due to the person’s looks and mannerisms.
Ram – I can’t believe it that he did all this. We haven’t spoken in years, and he still made it a point to help me understand the real face of the people around me.
Priya – I should also thank him, he not only helped us understand the reality but also helped us come back to one another and reunite us. While we still have issues we need to solve and talk about, we at least have reached a stage where we are willing to give each other a chance.
Ram – I agree, everything is a mess, but I am willing to work this out, I want to repent for my past mistakes and go back to being the old Ram that I was except for being dumb regarding the people around me.
Priya – I too promise to not hide anything now, we have lived enough for our families, now its time to just live for ourselves and our little Pihu.
Ram carries Pihu in his arms and showers her with love which he has missed doing.
Priya is not on talking terms with Meera ma however, the entire Sood family barring Neeraj (no one needs another villain) and Akshay (who lives separately now), all of Ram’s friends, Krish, Ram, Priya and the little munchkin Pihu go towards Khurana Estates to meet Maan.
They reach and the house help informs them that Maan isn’t home, but they can wait, and he should be home in a bit. They all sit around talking, drinking the beverages served to them and Ram tells Priya about Maan since she is curious about who could have done so much and not even come in front of them. If Krish hadn’t told them that someone else was involved, they would have never even come to know.
Maan enters while everyone is talking and takes one look at everyone and gives an awkward smile because he never really expected them toget to know this early but guess he underestimated Krish Dixit. He doesn’t really know what to say since he knows he will yell at all of them, therefore, doesn’t really want to have a conversation currently while his brain is fried because of both his work as well as handling the messes of Ram and Priya’s lives since months. Before anyone else can say anything, Maan’s head of security and closest friend Raj/RJ comes running to tell Maan that there is an issue. He stops right beside Maan looking at the entire paltan sitting in front of them.
RJ – Ohkay, hello everyone, what a pleasant surprise.
Maan giving him the side eye just wondering what is so pleasant – Have anything to say to me RJ?
RJ – Oh ya, I came to tell you that there is a problem and while I know you would rather not hear of anymore problems, you need to think of a solution to this one.
Maan – Just rip the bandaid brother.
RJ looking at the paltan and whispers to Maan – Vedika is missing and I don’t think she should be out considering her involvement with Nandini Kapoor.
Maan – Hmm, circulate her picture through our network and see if anyone has any information. Also involve your contact in CBI and see if they can put out an APB on her. We need to find where she is before she can come up with some other mind bending, Hindi tv serial strategy to separate Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor here who hopefully don’t fall for it again but I ain’t taking any chances this time.
Ram – Maan I know that you are frustrated at us and honestly anyone in your place would be looking at how we have been behaving over the last 2 years.
Maan being very close to bursting doesn’t want to say anything because he doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but loses his patience when Brinda speaks.
Brinda – I agree with Ram, we have all been utterly foolishand we should have handled the situation better however, we all clearly weren’t thinking.
----------------- Here is where the actual ranting starts guys
Maan – Weren’t thinking? Of course you weren’t thinking guys. Di, you used to be my favorite and yet when you were supposed to be understanding the situation, you went full tv serial vamp and yelled at Priya Bhabhi, tried to separate Vicky bhaiya and Sara di and definitely did not give any sort of benefit of doubt to Bhabhi. While I understand that you were under the misconception that Bhabhi was the reason behind Shivi’s untimely passing away, you should have known better than to assume that she did that on purpose or could have even thought of hurting bhai like that. Shivina was as important to Bhabhi as to bhai and you should have been smart about it. You were a Raya shipper but in the end you proved it that bhai was the only one you were concerned about. In any other scenario, I would have supported you but here you knew they loved each other, you should have tried to get to the bottom of this but no.
Adi bhaiya, Kunal bhaiya, Vicky bhaiya, guys come on, while I really appreciate that you guys have always been the family that bhai needed, you didn’t do what a family was supposed to do this time. But I can’t even blame any of you since Ram bhai himself believed Priya bhabhi’s lies. You tell me bhai, the person who took so long to warm up to you even though Ram 1.0 was probably the best charmer in the room at any given time, could have so very easily had a relationship with Krish? The person who you knew would never cheat on you because that is not the type of person she is, you believed had a child with Krish? Bhai seriously? You say you love her but believed she was cheating on you, believed Nandini Kapoor, believed that you loved wrong, believed you wronged Shivina? You pit her against her family and while mamu’s (Virendra Kapoor) accident was definitely not her fault, she was the one who bore the brunt of it. She lost the love of her life, went to jail for a crime she did not commit and in a way lost her family as well. And what is this new-found Idate any random person on the road nonsense? Devdas 2.0? That poor guy only drank, you went ahead and started dating women and thought that and money was the solution to all your problems, what sort of weird Hindi movie trope is that? Also, what is with this new look? While you still look pretty good, I would have appreciated if you hadn’t turned this into the Casanova look because like dude come on man you are better that that.
Priya Bhabhi while you don’t know me and I have no business saying anything to you but everything you did completely goes against your character. You have always been an advocate of justice and by taking the sentence on behalf of Ishaan for Shivina’s death you robbed her of justice. You thought by sacrificing yourself, you were saving Ishaan but Ishaan then never learnt to take the liability for his actions. How did you think you were helping him in the long run with this Bhabhi? And you knew how close Ram bhai and Ishaan were, you really think that he would have let any harm come on Ishaan? Yes, while he treated Shivina like his child and in the beginning maybe would have not wanted to meet Ishaan, he would have soon realized that it was an accident. He lost not only his sister but also the love of his life in that one accident. He lost all the relations he gained along with his family because then they just used you and Shivina and pressed onto that injury only making it deeper and deeper with time. You also kept Pihu away from him because Nandini Kapoor threatened you. Bhabhi sounds like you thought of everyone and everything except bhai in this scenario.
Meera ma’am I don’t think anything much needs to be said to you considering you are already bearing the fruit of supporting Mahendra Sood as well as not supporting bhai since Bhabhi hasn’t spoken to you in years. While I would never wish that for anyone, but if you really thought that by supporting Varun you were indirectly supporting Ishaan then you were wrong because that man led your grandson to believe that your daughter was the primary villain in Ishaan’s life. You thought that by trying to find out who killed his father Ram bhai was supporting his family and not yours then I am sorry but this is his father we are talking about. Why should he have supported Varun when he was a murderer, only because he was Ishaan’s father and Sara ma’am’s husband? The father who was using his son and the husband that your daughter never wanted?
Sara ma’am, Maitri ma’am while you both did everything to support Priya Bhabhi in everything and truly that is what good siblings do, not once did you try to reunite her and bhai? Why? If nothing else, the least that could have been done was telling the truth about Ishaan and while I understand he is your son Sara ma’am but by shielding him, he reached a stage where he would never understand how big of a sacrifice his aunt did, he became so self-centered and that could have been prevented. He should have received help 2 years ago for his anger, but the kid didn’t receive any help and his mental state just worsened.
After this outburst, even though Maan wasn’t yelling, everyone was shell shocked and Maan was just panting as if he ran a marathon.
Priya was the first one to recover and said – Maan I know you said we don’t know each other but from what I can understand you are only supporting your brother and nothing you said was wrong. I am glad there is someone in Mr. Kapoor’s family who is actually worth being called family, who truly cares for him and will do anything for him. But in all this will not forget to call him out on behavior that does not match his character. You didn’t only show me the mirror but showed it to all of us here and I am grateful that you stood for me as well. I truly am sorry Mr. Kapoor that all of this happened and I should have done something better to be able to avoid this.
Ram – I agree Priya, Maan bache, I didn’t realize how much we needed someone to tell us everything that we did wrong to address it and be able to move past it. Now we know what all we must work on and as far as your apology is concerned Priya, I was wrong as well, I claim to know and love you then I should have been able to see that you were not at fault. I am sorry for everything and I promise I will never be as dumb as I was in the past. And as far as this version of mine is concerned, thank you for telling me I look good Maan however, I think I am done with the Devdas merged with a casanova look and feel. I think I am going to go back to being me now.
Maan – Oh thank goodness, I don’t think I would have been able to deal with this look anymore.
Brinda, Adi, Kunal, Vikrant – And we promise that we will be there to help Ram at all times, but we won’t just act like a silent army giving in to his every whim. We will support both Ram and Priya and make sure that we help them take the right decisions.
Brinda – I am so sorry Priya, I truly am. I was only thinking about Ram but forgot you would never do something to hurt him intentionally. Please forgive me if you can.
Priya – There is no need for an apology Bri, I am glad that you have all supported Mr. Kapoor and not let him be alone in my absence. From now onwards, you have to promise though that you wont only be his army but also mine and Pihu’s.
Friends gang – Most definitely and everyone rejoices.
Meera – I also want to apologize for my actions, I chose wrong and, in the process, hurt both Ram and Priya who always treated me with respect and fought for me when no one else would. I am really sorry, and I know my actions are not worth forgiveness but I hope someday you will be able to forgive me.
Ram and Priya nodding and don’t say anything since it will take them a while to be able to get back to normal with Meera since they kept her on a very high pedestal and now, they have realized that she is a mere human who makes errors and has lapses in judgement. They understand however, need time to be able to talk about their issues.
Sara and Maitri – We are also truly sorry Ram and Priya, we should have helped reunite you, Sara – I got so blind in the love of Ishaan, I let you take the fall for his actions Priya and that was probably my first mistake which led to so many after that. I will now make sure that I am not only a blind mother but a fair mother. Ishaan has to understand what is right and what is wrong.
Priya and Ram – And we will be there to support you di but this is a battle you will have to primarily fight since you are Ishaan’s mother and we wont interfere in whatever action you will want to take.
After everyone has settled down and since everything is out in the open, everyone is more relaxed since Ram and Priya can finally start focusing on themselves and their little one who at that precise point starts crying since no one has given her attention till now.
Ram – No no my cutie pie, we have not forgotten you, your chachu here was busy lecturing us so we got a little preoccupied, apologies on his behalf.
Priya – Excuse you Mr. Kapoor, Maan did the right thing, and he wasn’t lecturing anyone, he was merely showing us the reality and you should thank him since he is one of the primary reasons we are back together.
Ram – But that doesn’t mean that he yells at his elder brother like this, manners naam ki toh cheez hi nahi hai.
Priya – He wasn’t yelling, he was showing you right from wrong……..
And so their banter continues which everyone is enjoying and the person because of who they are bantering, is busy enjoying with his sweet little niece who cannot get enough of her chachu’s hair and might we say her grip is pretty strong so Maan Khurana might need a hair transplant if his niece keeps going this way. But he wouldn’t have it any other way since he can finally see his bhai, Bhabhi, their little munchkin and everyone who they love and who loves them under the same roof after finally getting rid of all the negativity that they didn’t deserve in the first place.
That’s the end guys, I am not a writer by any means, and I have not proofread anything, this was just an out of the blue attempt that stemmed from the frustration of the writers not giving these wonderful characters their due credit and butchering them with such a storyline.
