She is irritating me since the wedding track and now I am so happy edt wale are united in their disgust for her. Like aisi behen? Istg na ho to acha hai. Mark my words she will not console priya if makers allow priya to have an outburst, ulta she will defend ram. Sometimes I am like she has a crush on ram or what? Bri/adi se zyada ye ram ka bodyguard banke ghumti hai, ek galat shabd and she's 😡 woh v itne kam time mein.

I have never seen such a stupid character. Her loyalties shifted so fast that mujhe toh shaq hai yeh Pri ki behen hai bhi ki nahi.

One of the healthy way to deal with depression and anxietu is expressing oneself and Sara never allows Pri to do that. Anytime she approaches him with a doubt, she hints at Ram loving her, behen thikh hai, but Pri woh todhi naa puch rahi hai tujhse (that is the ultimate answer, I understand, but no one bothers addressing Pri's insecurities)

She (and Ram's friends) be like Priya ka gussa aisa hai, Priya ke dictionary mein maafi nahi hai. Woman just forgave the man who falsely accused her brother of sexual assault. She lets Nandini, Shubhu and Mami get away with their trash talks. Isse jaldi toh Bri ko gussa aata hai.

Her defending ram and telling him its not his fault is really stupid. It's not your place to decide, honey. It's solely Priya's call ki woh Ram ke sarr pe pathar de maaregi yaa bags pack karke manali jaayegi. Priya made it clear since day 1 that even though she doesnt expect love from Ram, she expects honesty and trust, and Ram failed her. Instead of reprimanding him, yeh protect karti hai.

The only time she actually defended Pri was when she found out about Vedu. But that was also her own trauma speaking. She has seen Priya be heartbroken, first hand, but phir bhi she chose to hide about it and go merry go round to "protect" Priya.

Ek toh mujhe samajh nahi aata why they think they need to protect Pri. Ram ka thikh hai, he is a manchild and can't handle stress, but Pri lives with the stress, uske dimaag se ek bhoj chutti leta hai toh doosra samaan leke aajata hai ki "kuch din toh gujaaro gujarat mein" so why can't they (specially her, as an elder sister) trust Pri to make the right call. Heck, even Adi knows Pri better than that (yeh baat alag hai that he got her drunk and stripped her off her agency to show her maturity)

When she was laughing at Pri, I felt so bad for Pri, imagine being surrounding by people who find it funny when your heart is broken and you don't know what to do with it. No wonder Pri has major trust issues when it comes to everyone except Meera.

Hum Nandu aur Shubu ko trash talk karte hai, but yeh toh unse bhi gayi guzari hai, because she has no motive to be this mean to her, yet she is, and its shown as humour.

Aur iska pati aur baccha kahana hai yaar? Hadd hoti hai! Divorce liya toh thikh hai, but not even weekly/monthly visits? Lagta hai even the judge realized that if it comes to saving ram, she will prioritze that and leave her own son and didn't give her the visitation rights.

Her forcing Pri to "look presentable" and get married was annoying to the scale 2, now she just hit the meter off the charts.

CVs need to do some major damage control, else no one will care for the friends or Sara's actions to "help" PriRa anymore. (Which is stupid, becuase I don't think arranged marraiges mein usally friends and families help people with their relationship, except when it comes to forcing them to have kids)

I am glad that you started this topic 😆 Truth being told, Sara was irritating me too for quite some time.

I agree with what you guys discussed; that being an elder sister Sara should support Pri more, give Pri the space to vent out her emotions/hurt(etc.) to Sara (when Pri chooses to do that) and Ram. She should let Pri take charge of her relationship with Ram by letting her know the truth, instead of playing that everything is hunky dory by hiding the truth from her.

Having said that, and having seen similar characters on ITV before (lol 😆), I think I can deduce where she is coming from. (But that doesn't mean that I condone her actions. Because I don't.)

My analysis about Sara is: Before being Pri's elder sister, Sara is a human, and humans cannot be put on pedestal, humans are meant to make mistakes, to get confused in mixed emotions, to take wrong or emotional decisions. So far as we have seen of Sara, Sara has faced similar trauma as Pri. Her father left her mother for another woman. She feels unloved by her father. It seems there are issues in her marriage too, we have never seen her husband or kid, and she works almost 24×7 at the bakery and spends most of her time at her mother's place, (and now with Bri and gang 🤦🏻‍♀️). Somewhere inside her chirpy self, there is a heartbroken girl, who wants to be loved. But unlike Pri, Sara is neither expressing this grief, nor addressing/accepting it even to herself. Pri at least knows why she became harsh, she accepts what went wrong in her life, but Sara lacks that self-awareness and she loves to brush truth under the carpet and play all is well.

I feel, the heartbroken girl in Sara, is trying to 'fix' Pri's marriage/happiness, the same way she fixes hers. (And that's honestly very problematic behavior 😢 since the relationship is Priya's, any decision shd be her decision, not Sara's.) For Sara, her little sister Pri is her family, and so she treats Pri exactly how she treats herself: by not accepting her grief/anger/trauma (to the extent of ridiculing it at times) and by brushing truth under the carpet. According to Sara, that's how she is fulfilling her sisterly duties. At times, I also feel she is trying to live the happiness she wants in her life through the life of her loved ones, like Pri and Akki; it comes across especially when Sara interferes or takes their decisions for them.

Of course, I want to see a reformed Sara in future. Elder sisters are special, and Pri deserves to have an elder sister who would actually watch her back, rather than someone who hides truth from her and does not support her when she needs her support.

Sara is misguided max, I think the combination of never seeing a caring man and whatever her own life is about makes her value that person to the extent that she doesn’t consider what her sister might need/want because why would you let him go?

I’m generally okay with the line of maha extras we have on the show, but I honestly couldn’t see the humour yesterday (Disha’s acting aside, she nails the tipsy Priya perfectly)…when she was at her vulnerable best they spiked her drink and then proceeded to casually leave her alone in the room! How are they better than Neeraj when he spiked her drink? There’s no saying what Priya could have done because honestly none of them actually know what any form of drink/bhaang does to her. Uske upar the line of bhaang peeke Priya ko kuch yaad nahi rahega. Yo, this is what frat boys do!

I just had few more cringe moments to add... Like...

"Ram bade pyare hai" during interview scene. I don't know why I always cringed with that dialogue though its pretty natural.. maybe because in any Raya interaction all her focus is just on Ram. Arre look at ur sis too!!!

And finally last episode. Her inaction after seeing priyas pain and laugh at her behaving foolishly. That just defies every logic. No badi behen can do that. The first instinct will always be to run to her and hug her. Just like the first time when ram hurt Priya with his words and Priya walked away in rain. Saras first priority was her sister

To the writers... please spoil anything else but not the sisters' bond definition. Let it be special as it always is. Sara should be priyas advocate not rams. Bri is there for that.

Priya is adopted. I wish it happens in show cause she don't belong to that pagalkhana. Sorry, but Mahendra sood ki beitya to Sara and maitri hai. Always looking at their happiness over others, shutting down others pov cause it's not suiting them, selfish to the core. Maitri is blind in love, sara has the excuse of behen ki khushi but the irony is she's not looking out for behen ki khushi at all. In what universe a sister keeps quiet and shows so much trust that her husband ka ex is staying with them? I have no siblings, but I think even as a female/male friends they will warn you if something is fishy. It's heartbreaking and priya must feel so stupid that the entire world knew, vedu was trying to show she's going to be with ram and none gave her a hint. Just hid them all.

Sister, let me hug you. You have voiced all or almost all of the things that have long and consistently been killing me in Sara.

By God, all the mind and much more true, went to this family Priya, but not her older sister.

1. She is constantly stupid, silent or speaks where it is not necessary.

2. Protects Ram when Priya does not do or say anything wrong or what she has no right to, hello, she is his wife!

3. Climbs into the relationship of the spouses, although Priya clearly says that this is her relationship, her husband, she herself knows how to be.

4. Imposes his own ideas about what one must be in order to find (keep) a man. Damn, in what sense? A woman should break her nature just to be with someone? What nonsense! You need to change when and how you want, not someone else.

5. Ram, according to Sara herself and others, is a wonderful man, and he is completely admired by Priya, no one in this family has such a partner, except for Akki - another, he is a brother in this family. Conclusion: Sara, if she understands something in a relationship, then this is clearly not enough.

6. Frequent clinging to Priya for appearance, how to walk, what to walk in and why. I understand that this may be from good intentions, but the way Sarah presents it is completely impossible. I would be sad if my sister did this to me.

7. Sara does anything but what it would cost - growing a business, her own life, helping where she was asked. All important things in this family are decided by Priya, we see it from the beginning, where is her sister at this time?

Wahi to, i have been wondering since epi 1 iska itna kyu ram ram ka jaap karti hai. Realistically shr has known ram for what 4 /5 months? Usme itna trust over her own sis? Itna kya dekh liya usme? And not ram ka fault lmao there was no irrigation at ram or she didn't even give a hint to priya that vedu is bad news. And it all led to akki shivi suffering. This woman probably don't even think about it i guess.

I just want her loyalty for priya. The entire sood house is like ram ka family, and I get that why it's shown that way. Ram don't have a family, these people love him blindly. What about priya? This family relied on her before marriage, she sucked up and supported them. For them she married, bearing loser in laws and everyday drama. Sala vent v na kare?

This is why I loved Akki. He started doubting Ram, even if it was for a second. Then he backtracked, but he was protecting PRI from vedika's nonsense way of striking her. It's always Priya for him., even before Shivina, at times. (Not the ideal husband, but surely a much better person than Sara)

She may have given Ram the benefit of doubt, but itni jaldi? Just after shedding tears on how much Pri has suffered, she flipped?

I too dont mind AdiBri, expect getting someone drunk, its not cool, and as I said, they will always prioritize Ram. But Sara, oh Sara.
