Why wasn’t her making him uncomfortable last time with her answers ok, while this time, it wasn’t ? Infact this time, if he said shart, she would have said, correct and moved on…🤷‍♀️ She was voicing it in her head that , if it is that deal to him, she was going to play along… why did we overlook this?

Honestly, when people assess characters they do not asses them from within the constraints of the story… what you have explained is bang on…

One should look at it from Priya’s perspective not from your own as an audience, coz as an audience we are privy to a lot more details than the characters.

Also, your point regarding being ok with arrogant chauvinistic GK style alpha ML, is the patriarchal mindset… where it is equated with Machoism. Whereas when they see the same thing in a female, she is difficult to be with or they can even be extreme and label it as being toxic.

This is the mindset with which we all are brought up not necessarily within the family but when we grow up and are wake up to to the societal realities. A girl needs to endure, and make sure she is “acceptable” and accepting of anything and everything that comes to her and is thrown at her… while a guy need not worry about how he is perceived or what impact his actions can have on others coz that is not even deemed necessary besides him having these qualities makes him seem more head strong… determined and someone who can head the family.

I come across this in many ways at the workplace too… where this happens with most of the women leaders… this is a form is unconscious bias which even many educated heads harbour unfortunately.

And let us not confuse this with feminism, supporting a female for being herself is not feminism, it is when you blindly do so or analyse everything from the same perspective. We as women need to be more secure about each other and overcome these shackles by un- inhibited support when the other is right or deserving.

i think they will bring back Vedika because even if they introduce good tracks, the TRPs won’t increase. So even if Vedu is brought back, they can blame IPL for low TRPs 😉
