yeah i agree, they kind of rushed his confession and did not show any internal conflict where he thinks how he is over Vedika… but off late I think he does not see any one but Priya.
The only thing that bothers me though is that does he always need someone to worship, earlier it must have been Nandu then Vedu and now Priya. Like Adi said in his monologue the other day “ is bacche ko koi ghar pahuncha de”
I think Ram getting over Vedika actually happened well before the accident track confession, in fact from Diwali time onwards. There was a good convo scene in his office cabin with Adi where Adi asks why doesnt he tell Priya abt Vedika & he says clearly without hesitation or sadness that things are going well with Priya & him so talking about such past stuff is behuda or betuki or something like that. In that scene it became clear that it did not mean anything to him anymore. Also ignoring V’s limping & worrying if P is unwell, and other small scenes like that. More than anything his eyes misting & the hushed tone in which he used to talk about Vedika, the worshipping way he used to look at her, that is conpletely gone right from the early stages of his marriage.
I think because Ram values loyalty of feelings, not only behaviour, so so much, he is a little guilty & uncomfortable with how he got over Vedika and hence avoids introspecting on it. This part has to do with his values & conditioning, nothing to do with his growing love for Priya. Hence no monologue. We see bits & pieces in his convo with friends.
But it is the fault of the writing that they are not able to portray this consistently & clearly since.
