Raya OS: I am with you..
It's been a few days now since Vedika just moved-in in Kapoor Mansion surprising Priya. But Priya didn’t utter a word as it was not her place to say anything.
There have been quite a few instances where Vedika tried to show her right over Mr. Kapoor but Priya ignored it because she considered Vedika as Ram’s family friend. But Ram never let Priya feel out of the place. She remembered one such instance.
Vedika ordered Tarun to prepare junk food for Ram, this really irritated Priya because the Doctor has clearly advised Ram to eat healthy.
Everyone was present on the dining table when Priya voiced out her thoughts ‘Mr. Kapoor yeh aap nahi kha sakte.’
To Say Ram was disappointed would be an understatement, everyone knows that Ram lives for food.
‘Aap yeh khaenge jo apke liye bana hai. Rice and dal with curd’ Priya ordered.
Brinda and Adi who were present there smiled seeing that authoritative tone of hers.
Before Ram could protest Vedika intervened ‘Priya tumhe kya problem hai? Agar Ram ek din kha lega toh, kya dikkat ho jayegi?’
‘Vedika Doctor ne mana kiya hai.’ Priya spoke calmly.
Vedika said ‘Priya don’t behave as if sirf tumhe Ram ki chinta hai. Kabhi kabhi khane se koi problem nahi hai.’
Nandini too spoke ‘Priya Vedika sahi keh rahi hai, kabhi kabhi chalta hai.’
Shubham spoke rudely ‘Inka toh kam hi hai faltu ke orders dena. Insan chain se apni pasand ka khana bhi na khaye ab’
‘Shubhu. Manners.’ Ram said angrily.
Priya didn’t like everyone ganging up on her so she mumbled a Sorry and left from there. Ram was about to get up and leave when Vedika held his hand ‘Ram kaha ja rahe ho? Khana toh kha lo.’ she spoke ever so sweetly.
‘Carry on guys. Mujhe bhuk nahi hai.’ He said and left without waiting for anyone’s response and as expected no one really was bothered for him but for the fact that he walked on them for Priya.
But there were two people who were very happy, Brinda and Adi. Brinda thought in her mind ‘Ab tumhare din gaye Vedika. Now it’s Raya’s time.
On his way Ram ordered Tarun to bring Priya’s cooked food in their room. Ram entered the room and found Priya sobbing, her back facing him.She sniffled as she heard the knock on the door.
‘Priya tumne khana kyu nahi khaya?’ Ram asked normally.
‘Mujhe bhuk nahi hai Mr. Kapoor.’ she said calmly, not facing him.
‘Priya. Kyu jhoot bol rahi ho?’ he said, taking a seat next to her.
‘Please Mr. Kapoor aap apna vo tasty dinner kar lijiye. Main thik hu.’ she replied, trying hard to sound normal.
‘Priya mujhe nahi khana vo sab’ Ram tried to explain it to her.
‘Kyu jhuth bol rahe hai Mr. Kapoor. I saw your eyes glistening with happiness when you saw your favorite food on the table.’ Priya blurted.
Ram was shocked he stammered ‘Tumne meri.. meri an.. Ankhein padi?’
Priya now regretted opening her mouth she tried to cover up but couldn’t so just did the next best thing ‘Khush the na? Toh jaiye kha lijiye vo please mujhe akela chod dijiye.’ she said angrily.
Ram knew how she hid her emotions, he was now used to it. Like any other person he won’t fall for this fake anger, he seated more closer to her and held her hand. ‘Priya no doubt vo khana mera favorite hai. Tum janti ho yeh bat. Janti ho ke nahi?’
Priya was taken aback by that hand holding, she numbly nodded her head in a Yes.
‘Isliye main khush ho gaya. I have not experienced this but jaise ek mother constantly apne bache ki health ka sochti hai and doesn’t give in to their silly demands vaise hi ho tum. Baki sabko lagte honge vo lectures ya jo bhi par I know ki tum meri fikar karti ho isliye yeh sab karti ho. Tumhe zarurat nahi hai par phir bhi tum daily mere liye khana banati ho with the right nutritions and spices to make it delicious for me. I know that Priya, I have noticed that and sach kahu mere liye aaj tak kisi ne itna pain nahi liya jitna tum leti ho. Or sirf isliye I would choose your food on any day over anything’
This man never leaves a point to surprise her, just when she thinks she knows him he unfolds another side or emotions of his. How lonely can this man be? She looked in his eyes, his eyes are the most honest Eyes she has ever looked in. To lighten the mood she teased him ‘Apne mujhe mummy se compare kia?’
Ram chuckled ‘Ho hi tum meri maa jaisi. Kitna dantti ho tum mujhe.’
Priya was shocked but then laughed seeing him smile.
‘Vaise pata hai kabhi kabhi toh sabko cheat day milta hai’ Ram said, trying his luck.
“Thik hai. Aaj kha lijiye aap or main yeh gusse mein nahi bol rahi.’ Priya said, wiping the lone tear that was still in her eyes.
‘Nahi. aaj toh main Dal chawal or dahi khaunga. Tum kisi din mere liye bana dena. Taki na tumhe tension ho or main bhi sukoon se khau vaise bhi tum khana acha banati ho.’ Ram said honestly.
‘It’s okay Mr. Kapoor. Aap vo kha lijiye sach mein.’ Priya said. Because it was more than enough for her that he chose her over his friend.
‘Priya tumhe sach mein lagta hai ki main sirf batein karta hu? I mean them, itna bhi nahi samjhi tum mujhe?’ He was a bit hurt.
Priya was in awe. He was such a kid, a cute one. Cute? Priya kya soch rahi hai yeh tu?
She spoke to cheer him up ‘Acha thik hai, is sunday main aap ka favorite khana banaungi.’
As expected his eyes twinkled with happiness ‘Sach?’ Priya nodded. And he was so happy.
Tarun knocked on the door and Ram asked him to come in.
‘Mr. Kapoor hum niche chalte hai na. Vahi kha lenge.’ Priya said.
‘It’s okay Priya, ab vo log kha chuke honge’ Ram said and started eating his food, Priya too joined him.
Priya smiled remembering the instance. No wonder Vedika tried a lot to demean her but she never found herself alone, she found her husband always by her side. And just like that she never felt the need to speak a word but not today.
Today what Vedika said was beyond limit and she would never tolerate that, she spoke against her husband and no one, mind it no one has the right to speak about Priya’s husband.
Everyone was present in the hall where Vedika cried and said nonsense about Ram.
‘I swear Ram kal raat mere room mein aaya tha and he tried to take advantage of me.’ Vedika cried.
Everyone was shocked hearing that.
Nandini asked ‘Kya yeh sach hai Ram?’
Ram was shocked how his own mother asked such a question from him. Before he could answer her he saw Priya descending down the stairs and a fear gripped him. What if she too believed Vedika and left him.
He ignored everyone and went to Priya and spoke ‘Pri.. Priya’ Priya cut him off by showing him her hand.
‘Vedika kya kaha tumne?’ Priya asked.
‘Priya meri baat suno please.’ Ram spoke.
Vedika spoke ‘Kal Ram mere room mein aaya tha and he tried to do things with me. He was drunk, maine use rokne ki koshish bhi ki par usne ek nahi mani meri.’ she fake cried.
‘Priya mujhe kuch yad nahi hai sach mein, maine aisa kuch nahi kia.’ Ram told Priya.
‘Ram yaha sab jante hai ki tum mujhse pyar karte ho and tum aaj bhi feel karte ho mere liye.’ Vedika spoke, she walked to NAndini and said ‘Aunty aap toh sab janti hai na? Ki Ram aaj tak move on nahi kar paya.’
‘Shut up Vedika’ Brinda spoke.
‘Yeh family matter hai Brinda so please stay out of this.’ Vedika spoke.
‘Dekh liye Ram? Yeh hai tumhari Vedu, isiliye kehti thi is chudail se dur raho.’ Brinda spoke.
‘How dare you?’ Vedika spoke in anger and raised her hand to slap Brinda but it never reached her face. Priya held Vedika’s hand and slapped her hard ‘How dare you Vedika?’
Everyone was shocked, Ram too.
‘You..’ Vedika tried to slap her back.
‘Don’t you dare do that Vedika. Or tumhe bahut maza ata hai na mardo ki izzat uchalne mein? Pehle mere bhai ki or ab mere pati ki.’ She spoke fiercely.
‘Tumhara pati? Haha. bhul gayi kya samjhote ki shaadi hai tumhari? Hai kya tumhare rishte mein? PAti patni jaisa rishta hai bhi sahi?’ Vedika spoke.
‘Ab tum bataogi mujhe ki mere or mere PAti ke beech PAti PAtni ka rishta hai ke nahi? Ho kon tum? Guzra hua kal. Or main Mr. Kapoor ka aaj aur aane vala kal hu. Kis basis par tum Mr. Kapoor par aise ilzam laga rahi ho? Saboot hai?’
Vedika was quiet.
‘Yahan khada koi bhi insan tum par bharosa kar sakta hai par main nahi. Janti ho kyu? Puch rahi thi na tum ki kya hai hamare rishte mein? Bharosa hai. Or vo tum jaisi giri hui ladki toh bilkul nahi tod sakti.’
‘Tum samajhti kya ho khud ko Priya? Shakal dekhi hai apni ayine mein? Badi aayi. Huh. tum jaisi ko toh koi mud ke bhi na dekhe. Ugly girl.’ Vedika spoke.
‘Sahi kaha tumne Vedika or main tumhari baat par bharosa kar bhi leti par recently mere Husband ne mujhe kaha ki main is duniya ki sabse khubsurat ladki hu. So, Sorry I won’t agree with you on this.’ Priya spoke proudly.
‘Priya tum is duniya ki sabse sundar ladki ho, surat se bhi or seerat se bhi’
This line from last night rang in Priya’s mind.
Ram was shocked and happy hearing that.
‘Hello Inspector main Mrs. Priya Ram Kapoor bol rahi hu please Kapoor mansion aa jaiye ek complaint file karna hai’ Priya spoke on phone.
‘Ane do police ko aaj tumhare so called pati ko jail jane se koi nahi rok sakta.’ Vedika spoke trying her best to scare her but she never knew who Priya was.
‘HAth toh laga ke dikhaye koi mere pati ko. Tum janti nahi ho Vedika mujhe abhi.’ Priya spoke like a lioness.
Ram chuckled because he knew this lioness side of his wife.
‘Ram bhi has raha hai tumhari baton par. Shii yar Priya.’ Vedika spoke, mocking her.
‘Vo isliye has rahe hai kyuki unlike you vo mujhe jante hai, he knows ki mere apno par koi ungli uthaye toh use todni ki himat rakhti hu main’ Priya spoke with a smirk and she saw that proud look in her husband’s eyes.
Police came and Vedika told them fake crying.
‘Yeh sab jhuth hai Inspector sahab.’ Priya spoke.
‘Aapke paas koi saboot hai?’ Police inspector asked.
‘Sabut aap inse mangiye kyuki mere husband kal puri raat mere sath the, I don’t know vo in madam ke paas kab gaye.’ Priya spoke sarcastically.
Or main Vedika ke khilaf complaint likhvana chahti hu ki isne pehle mere bhai par or ab mere pati par ilzam lagaya hai rape ka.’ Priya spoke confidently.
Vedka now came to Ram and spoke ‘Ram I love you. Isliye maine yeh sab kia please mujhe maaf kardo. I know tum mujhse pyar karte ho. Please Ram. vaise bhi is Priya mein aisa kya hai jo tum ise chun rahe ho?’
Ram was disgusted with her and Priya felt pity. ‘Mr. Kapoor aapko lagta hai na ki maine past mein kisi galat insan se pyar kiya. So, welcome to the club, aapki choice bhi bahut hi kharab thi.’ Priya taunted him.
‘I will accept this taunt of yours Priya.’ Ram spoke.
‘Tum hamare beetch nahi aa sakti Priya’ Vedika spoke with anger.
Ram held Priya’s hand and spoke ‘Tum hamare beetch aa rahi ho Vedika. Inspector sahab, please arrest her.’
Inspector with his lady constable arrests her, Vedika tries to speak but Ram doesn't hear.
NAndini comes to Ram and apologizes, Ram was hurt but he forgives her and walks after Priya, this thing hurt him that his own mother didn’t trust her but Priya trusted him.
‘Priya I am really happy ki tum ho. Varna Vedika pata nahi kya kar deti.’ Brinda speaks.
‘Aise kaise Brinda. Mere hote hue Mr. Kapoor ko koi kuch nahi keh sakta.’ Priya speaks.
‘I know. Hamesha uske sath rehna Priya, aajtak Ram ne bahut kuch jhela hai par tumhare sath main befikar hu. Main janti hu mere bhai ka koi kuch nahi bigad sakta.’ Brinda spoke.
For once Priya too spoke her heart ‘I know Brinda. Mr. KApoor jitne surrounded dikhte hai vo usse kayi zada akele hai. Shayd isiliye hamari shadi hui taki hum dono ek dusre ka akelapan mita sake. Pata hai Brinda mujhe hairani hoti hai ki itne logo ke hote hue vo akele hai.’
‘Priya tumhe shayad jaan kar hairani hogi but you are the only person jisko vo actually family keh sakta hai, jo sirf Ram ki family hai. Bahut log hai uski zindagi mein par koi nahi hai jo sirf Ram ka ho. Hum sab friends ne pray kiya ki use uska person mile and I am so grateful ki tum use mile, duniya jo marzi kahe Priya par main janti hu ki tum dono ek dusre ke liye ho. Vo tumhare zakhmo ka marham hai or tum uske zakhmo ka.’ Brinda spoke.
Priya just hugged her ‘I am so happy ki Mr. Kapoor ke tumhare jaise dost hai, sach mein Brinda.’ Brinda too hugged her tightly.
Ram who came after her heard every single thing and he was so overwhelmed, he couldn't agree more to Brinda that Priya was his family and more than anyone. He knocks on the door and Brinda leaves them alone.
As soon as Brinda left closing the door behind. Ram just hugged Priya and spoke ‘Thank you Priya. Agar aaj tum nahi hoti toh pata nahi kya hota.’
Priya let him be because she knew what could have happened and also the betrayal he got from his so-called friend. She hugged him to comfort him and felt him snuggling more into her arms. He was a baby.
After a good 2-3 minutes hug, Ram broke the hug and asked ‘Tumhe mujh par bharosa tha Priya?’
‘Aap hi ne toh kaha tha us din ki main aapka aaj hu, us waqt bharosa nahi hua tha par waqt ke sath bharosa ho gaya Mr. KApoor. Or kal jab apne nashe ki halat mein mujhe Vedika ke bare mein bataya toh mujhe pakka yakeen ho gaya ki vo Vedika kuch galat karne ayi hai.’ Priya told him.
‘Main kal nashe ki halat mein? Kya kya kaha?’ Ram asked.
‘Jo hosh mein nahi bata pa rahe the, about Vedika and your past and how she left you for Sashi. Usi waqt mujhe pata lag gaya tha ki Vedika kitni ghatiya ladki hai. You know Mr. KApoor aapko drink thoda often karna chahiye so that I can get to know you better.’ she said, teasing him.
‘Haw Priya. Ab meri tabiyat kharab nahi hogi?’ Ram jokes.
‘Just like cheat days yeh bhi chalta hai, par pine ke bad isi kamre mein ana or kahi nahi, varna aapko mujhse kon bachaye ga main nahi janti.’ she replied.
‘Thank you Priya tum na hoti…’ Ram spoke only to be cut by Priya ‘I am with you Mr. Kapoor.’
Ram hugged her again and this time Priya too hugged him tightly feeling the warmth.
Things were changing, scars were healing.
