To start I am one of the optimists. And when it comes to Pihu, I think she is immature. She did not purposefully want to kill varun and did not know her actions would lead to Varun's suicidal death. By the way, it was varun who was brainwashing Pihu in the first place since he wanted to take revenge from Priya. Even though he didn't actually rape Pihu, he was not innocent. Pihu being immature didn't know what the outcome of her actions would be and when she saw the outcome, she didn't have the courage to tell the truth so she took the shortcut (blaming varun of rape) to get out of the situation. It is not that she doesn't have any feelings for Priya. It is not that she wants her real mother Priya to die. Seeing Priya in the same coma state for around seven years or so, Pihu has lost hope of Priya coming back alive within a month. She loves her father very much and doesn't want to see her father sad like he is seeing Priya's condition. Pihu knows how much of a help Juhi has been to the family by voluntarily stepping in to raise her(Juhi's) friend Priya's kids including Pihu and feels Juhi would be perfect to bring happiness in Ram's life. Her wanting Ram to move on and marry Juhi is her way of saying thank you to Juhi for all the things Juhi has done for her(Pihu),her family; and is also her way of trying to remove the sadness from her beloved father's life.
