Great post, as always! Your "Things I Liked" posts are one of the few things looking forward to in a forum that seems to be slowly (read rapidly) slipping towards nothingness. 🤔
Sharma. Yes. 😆
First of all, I missed Neelesh misra's narration as much as you did. The framing device, his narration, will always be the USP of this show. The dream-like narration, full of poetic beauty, makes this show very different and refreshing.
As always, Nikumbh ka apne upar bharosa dekhna, makes for happy viewing. He has tremendous faith in himself and in his perception of things and people around him, without it being rock-solid firm, such that it is subject to change. It helps that he is into theater, because that is ONE profession that involves working WITH people, knowing them. Nikumbh has that vision. Yes, he made a mistake with Yamini, because then it was a question of a clash between ideologies, but now that he has a little better understanding of Yamini and her ideologies, he will obviously see through any facade she puts up. And Yamini is no fool. She understands that he knows. What makes it interesting is that she is afraid that he is holding this against her. That she has failed him. But in this case, Nikumbh can see, but he does not judge. His determination to make her say the truth is driven from his own discomfort at not hearing the truth, and not because he is disappointed with her for having failed the task. The kind of person he is, anything farzi discomforts him.
About his pricking at her conscience...hah, well, he is smart. He knows that if there is anything worse than not confessing what you must confess, it is in knowing that the other person knows exactly that and will not let you rest until you come clean with it. 😆
Azam's T-shirts! I love them. There isn't actually anything about Azam that I do not like. 😆 His T-shirts are always funky, funny, casual and so like his personality. I agree about the costumes. I like Shaheen's costumes too. They fit her character so well.
