Hi everyone! 🤗 I'm Sejal! 😃 But everyone fondly calls me PP on IF which is of course the short form of pinkpearl. 😛 So yeah...here I am with my first ever topic on this new forum of ours! ⭐️
I'm super excited to make new friends here and discuss the show with you all! 😊

Right now back to the topic. 😳 OMG!!!!!!!!! The show seems amazing! <3 Yes I can say that so early! I watched the first 2 episodes and I must say the show has been impressive so far. 👏 The way Nikumbh and Yamini have been portrayed and how their personalities differ is interesting. :) Nikumbh, the arrogant young man and Yamini, the glamorous star are both interesting characters and it will be exciting to see how they get to know eachother better and why they are shown this way. 😳

I loved the starting of the first epsiode as it has this loving, close feel to it. It felt as if I was actually there in Lucknow. The picturisation of the show is commendable. ⭐️

Oh and I love the costumes Yamini was wearing. The first one was my favourite. The second one surely brought that glamourous and blingy feel which her father wants to see her in. I loved the scene where her father told her to change the dress as it was portrayed very nicely how she wants to live a simple sophisticated life but her father wants the complete opposite, a loud glamourous life. ❤️ So yeah the scene is shown very aptly through the idea of the two dresses. Peach is the colour Yamini wants which portrays a decent and calm life. However, her father wants her to wear loud and dark colours to show her stardom and glamour to the world.

I also loved the dialogues and the actor playing Nikumbh delivered them really well. 👏 I feel Vinita who is playing Yamini could do a better job with her expressions. I feel that they still lack that feel of the character who is forced by her father to fulfill his dreams.

I really can't wait to see how Yamini will fulfill her dreams and what exactly are her dreams about life. And how her father's dreams affect her. I mean I would like to see it in much more detail.

I was also wondering where her mother is and what happened to Nikumbh's parents.

Loads of questions are pending and as the show progresses, I'm sure we will get the answers! :D

Sorry guys...I'm a bit of a questioning person. 😆 I know it's too early to ask so much but when we find out we can look back and see how well the show has answered and portrayed the answers. 😉

Overall, the show is very soothing and unique. Very different. No sentimental drama so far and no overacting. :) All the characters are being shown decently with ease. The show really brings a poetic movie like feeling and makes me as the viewer feel the story with calmness. There's no drama with faltu scenes.

Oh and I found Nikumbh's brother sweet. He is very caring and friendly as a brother. I'm sure he is going to be a big help in helping his brother find his true love.

Okay I'm done! :P

That's it for now. 🤗

The show is:

So far, so good. 😎

PS: don't forget to hit 'like' and comment. :)

Love,

PP/pinkpearl5 ❤️

Hi Sejal 🤗

Okay tbh I don't want to jinx the show and it's only been 3 episodes so far so kind of early to say all this but I must say I'm really looking forward to this. First off, it's set in Lucknow. Brings back IPK memories Secondly, I'm in love with Nikumb's dialogues. They're funny and crisp at the same time. The idea of a narrator (I wasn't really sure about that at first) but Neelesh Mishra is doing an amazing job

I've been looking forward to this show, and like @themockingblue, I am afraid of praising this too much and jinxing this.
But I must say the first episode was superb and the following two episodes continued what was started with the first episode.

First, how Lucknow was introduced with the narrator, and then again the shots during Nikumbh's introduction. His shadowy flashbacks about his father and past love, along with the narrator's poetry, all were well done. The way Nikumbh and Aazam talked about Nikumbh's late father while attempting to open the almirah was another nice touch.

What I especially liked was how we saw the process of the shayari. First with Nikumbh observing from his moterbike two lovers communicating across the street, then in the Yamini's dressing room,, then as he leaves the dressing room.

I don't really have any complaints about Yamini or the actress, though. I think she's doing well so far.

Second episode, the narration and flashbacks of Yamini's childhood and history with her father was so well done.

The father is harsh, even if we see softer moments. Like in the first episode where after her performance, outside her dressing room, he relented and allowed her a few minutes to rest when he saw she needed a bit of a breather. But even so, man the dude is harsh. Though I don't necessarily hate him either, because I guess it needs to be done to survive and make it in the industry. But the only question is whether Yamini ever really wanted this, and this is all him. It seems he's the one who wanted it and forced it on Yamini rather than her having the dreams on her own.

All in all, I think I am just going to sit back and enjoy, and hope it gets a good run without crazy dragging or insane and convoluted twists and butchering of characters and story.

If the first three episodes are anything to go by, i think I will enjoy this show immensely.

Nice post Sejal, I'm Rishani.😉

I agree with ur points, this show is so refreshing & the fact they there r 2 artists with different ideologies, this is stg really interesting. 😃

Locations, direction, narration & the cast r good.
I'm looking forward 2 c Yamini's real dream, I hope she'll stand 4 her dreams & want to know what happened 2 Nikhumb's family, he seems 2 be hurt by his past & ex gf.
I read somewhere they she'll end up playing the main role in Nikumbh's play...don't know if it's true but I'm excited 2 their journey. 😊
The show has a lot of potential, I really hope that it won't disappoint us after a few months coz nowadays u can't trust the cv's.

Hello Sejal, I am Dolly. Great Post.

I agree and hope this show keeps to its current uniqueness.

But I too do not want to jinx it and will keep my fingers crossed that it just gets more interesting as time goes by.

Lucknow and its language and the Shayeries are my favourite part.

Hi Sejal...Nice post...
agree with ur points... I specially liked the simplicity of the show... there is nothing like heavy clothes and heavy make-up... and the typically lakhnawi language.. I m loving it...
The idea of narration is new and something different and Neelesh Mishra is doing it with excellence...
I must say Abhishek is brilliant as Nikumb... and his bonding with Aazam is portrayed very well... Yamini is very pretty with her simple and innocent looks...
Looking forward for the show but I hope that it remain as simple as it is now...

Hello, Sejal. Name's Kankshita, nice to meet you etc.

You've said most of what I'd have said. Maybe not, but quite enough, so I should be concise. 😆 Anyhoo, the first two or three episodes, for that matter have been pretty amazing. There's this raw feeling to the show that I like. Neelesh Misra is one awesome storyteller. And Abhishek Rawat has been phenomenal as Nikumbh. I have developed a liking this soon for his way with words, both as a poet and a skeptic. The UP accent and the UP ways have been portrayed accurately and all the actors have actually been good enough, except the heroine. I wish she improves big time, the character's got lots of potential. She's an atypical damsel in distress, you know? Because she doesn't really need to take her father's shit. For all intents and purposes, she is a rich 'artist' anyway, isn't she? 🤡 But her conflict does make sense. So, I am hoping the actress improves. And no, man, those clothes, especially the Anarkali Disco Chali attire? Seriously? 😳

Epiphany.

A big hello to everyone 😃 It's nice to see that many people are enjoying this serial as much as I do. I found the promos interesting and I have been a fan of Abhishek since his Agle Janam days. First episodes of many serials have not excited me much, but I have to say that the initial episodes of Baawre are pretty good 👏 I also liked the Lucknow feel and the fact that the characters were more of ordinary people unlike many other serials where the lead characters come from HUGE (in status) families. Abhishek seems aptly cast as Nikumbh, an artistic person. There's something so melodious about the way he recites poems. His naturally calm tone is suitable 👍🏼 As for Vinita who plays Yamini, I found her good both in terms of looks and acting. She looks sweet and innocent just as the character requires. Keeping my fingers crossed that the serial will keep us all glued always 😊
oh and by the way, what do you guys think about the pairing??? I think they look good together 😳
