A easier way..tut written by me-

Open your pic
Copy & Paste as a new image
Delete everything on the pic so its got a white backround
Put on text[in black]..you can always stretch it out with the deformation tool
Ctrl+D
Layers>Merge>Merge All
Copy & Paste it onto your picture & set the mode to screen

All done😃
