bt its showing only separate frames..i cant open an avi as it is..if i open i should get like how an avi is..what to do for that?/

you need to go to Import---> videos frames to layer,now since you have said your avi as Gif format on PS so it won't be visible but you remember the name from which you said it so just type that e.g if I have said my avi using AVATAR name then I'll write AVATAR.GIF and it will be open.

I hope you understood if not I'll help with the help of screenshots.
