Coming out of his bereavement (Mani lost his brother earlier this year), Mani Ratnam is all set to start his next supple romantic movie featuring filmdom's foremost marital pair, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Mani Ratnam's projects are always a well guarded secret. In fact, those associated with the movie are sworn to secrecy.



Right from the star cast to the subject, everything about the movie is kept under wraps, away from the prying eye of the media. According to a source very close to the project, "It is going to be a very intense love story. Where Guru was more a biopic with a cavalcade of characters claiming screen scape, this movie will focus primarily on the romance. It is very intense movie. Mani's most romantic movie to date. And yes, its again based on real life characters".


There is talk in the industry circles that Mani is making a costume drama, but that's far from true. The truth is, the movie is a love triangle and will star the Guru team of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with the top actor from South, Vikram. The shooting is expected to commence in the mid of next month.
