Simran did some campaign/tv show for eye donation right before the accident in which she lost her eyesight. She said that if people pledge to donate their eyes after their death then it could benefit a lot of people who have lost their eyesights.

Why cannot Simran get somebody's eyes? Have I missed something or Ajai Sinha wants to keep Simran blind all her life. I had thought that Simran would get (old) Astha's eyes when they met with an accident.

Simran can get Corneal transplant but she is waiting for her turn to come. It was mentioned in one episode that if she talks to doctors she knows then her turn can come fast.
So, she is waiting ..........
